Changed brake light globe. Took over an hour.

Had to remove MDF boot flooring, remove subs (12 x 2" alen key bolts each), remove sub boxes (screwed in)

Then replace globe and fit it all back in

Changed all six globes. Dont want to do that again for a while :ermm:

Whilst there removed the Tomei tinted after burner lenses and cleaned all brake lenses.

Will leave them off for a while so it looks "normal"

Checked my timing today....way out. Now it's spot on and it runs great.

I have wednesday and thursday off and i'm going to replace my carpet with a better one that I have re dyed and replace my ratty steering wheel.

Tried to diagnose the boost surge, no luck.

When it happens its surging about twice every second. I can hear it, psh-psh-psh and the EBC is beeping warning.

Im getting 120 kpa, 150kpa(20 psi) the other day. Thats bad considering its a stock rb25 turbo!

Its probly actuator or ebc?

Take off the farty GTR bov first, go back to stock.

Dunno... anyone had this before?

Scared to drive it, im sure the turbo will die.

For those of you who have not seen these..... Cricket ball sized hail on my old 32... They did a good job of fking it.

Laughed hard out loud.....couldn't control myself. SOrry.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA. again sorry :(

Yeah the car was FARKED pretty hard rofl. Still. I got $400 less than i paid for it 5 years after. Did pretty well considering LOL

So if you ever hear me say how much i HATE hail. Even if its tiny. You now know why hahahaha

You've done a lot better with your latest one.

Bet you shit kittens last week when it started hailing

IT WAS IN THE GARAGE NOT MOVING!

but yes everytime it even rains a bit heavier im like:

4240826.jpgFark off rain!

Looked at my wheel and got cranky again.....Now having an internal debate that if it cant be fixed and need to buy a new wheel whether I hold off and upgrade turbos first seeing as the wheel still works.

Its funny, it seems to be the only thing I see on the car now. Everything else is great but my focus is drawn straight to the wheel!! LOL

Mine really shat me off at first but got over it cause it's on the passenger side.

More go fasts will make you get over it somewhat!! :)

+1 on replacing the wheel rather than repair. I'll probs just by a replacement wheel when I eventually get around to doing something about mine.

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
