Picked up a gtr wing from Bren today. Bloody champion! Wasn't going to fit it because of the rain, but couldn't resist :D

Looks the goods man. Glad I was stuffed around in Sydney lol....

Rob and I changed sparkies and a few hoses this arvo. I'm noticing Rosie is getting 1+ bar (Around 14+ PSI) so it's over-boosting. No idea why - Rob tried to change a few hoses but didn't seem to do anything in regards to over boosting.

Also - does anyone know where this hose goes (It's got the round filter plug on it).post-108313-0-87934400-1370158484_thumb.jpg

edit: sorry - you have to tilt your head (I swear I took the photo correctly) it's the black and orange cable thingy.

Too Much Boost !!! (I think I know what the Problem is...)

Stock Solenoid is not attached, boost line comes from Turbo - T piece - Actuator and other to Bov Return. <<--- This is NOT CORRECT is it?

(we need to block the line to the Bov Return and connect the Turbo Boost line to the Actuator. for only 5 psi. Put the Solenoid back in, bleeding back into the Bov Return for 5-7 psi.) Yes?

And this line with the Filter? Where does it go?

Changed his Plugs and Fixed the earth strap by the turbo.

I understand your frustration getting that Valley Cover off Richard. The Cam Breather is different on 33, Not as Hard.

Where does the other end go Richard? On his it's connected to the thing on the firewall and nowhere for the other end.

Yours looks like it goes somewhere but is disconnected from the thing on the Firewall?

They are at the front but the hoses come from the back, connect either side of the J pipe and then lead to the front and Canister. (33 seems to have 4)

Just for the Record, it was doing these boost issues Before I pulled it apart too!!!

Bought a whole box worth of meguiars car products.... im going to give the GTR a complete makeover when i get it back. It's going to look fabulous!!

Inside vacuum, Detail, outside wash and detail the first day...

Full engine bay clean and detail second day.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
