Got a Pulsar
Needs plenty more attention to be worthy of that call. D.I.Y. Mik
Nice.. does it sound better? Did some sanding, getting the edges of the windows cleaned up. Buzzed out the old bog. That rear guard is pretty bad. Now... to think like a piece of sheetmetal, its the only way i can beat it back into shape. Having a subconcious understanding of the material and process can be a shortcut to skill. I found out when i used an oxy welder for the first time. Edited February 15, 2014 by D.I.Y. Got a Pulsar
Nice.. does it sound better? It's actually ALOT quieter at WOT due to all 12 studs being intact, plus it's just bolted to the stock exhaust. it does sound a little nicer at idle and has a slightly nicer growl at 1500 - 2000 rpm but mostly Very Quiet. I will either... a) get Roadway to do a 2.5" steel exhaust for $440 (quoted) or b) buy enough pipe and bends on Ebay and get a mate with a welder to give me a hand.... Anfanee
Started doing the restoration of my Window trims and weather strips old school style. Taking photos as i go to show the process as it is really simple. They look new again. GTRKat
Depends how many panels. It's not that bad. Have a chat to a few good paint shops. I don't do my own detailing, ruins my nails 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/415573-sau-act-what-did-you-do-to-your-car-today/page/177/#findComment-7201410 Share on other sites

RadRanga
Today I took my 02 nm35 over Dickson pits. Have a month to fix the following, Ride height Wheels outside of body line "Play in forward tail shaft universal joint" RHF inner cv boot split Non compliant tint. Exhaust noise is 'on limit' which shouldn't be an offence right! Also need an engineering cert for the upgraded brakes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/415573-sau-act-what-did-you-do-to-your-car-today/page/177/#findComment-7202142 Share on other sites

B-rice
Wow how did they know the brakes are upgraded or they didn't come as factory option. Everything else should be easy. RadRanga
They just want an engineers for brakes i think. They're big 14" infinity brakes, how they knew they were aftermarket and not an option is beyond me since they knew nothing else about stageas. I have to provide track measurements for the car also Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/415573-sau-act-what-did-you-do-to-your-car-today/page/177/#findComment-7202159 Share on other sites

Height looked fine, tyres looked flush and what noise ??? RadRanga
Yeah the noise is fine I'm sure . Ride height seems fine but it did scrape a little over the pit when exiting. They said the coil overs would have to come off because even if you wind them up they'd have no spring. The wheels are probably 5mm outside the guards or st least flush. So what do I need, brakes, wheels and suspension off a stock 2002 Stagea.the other stuff I need to just fix.
