OMG I've gotta get back to Japan one of these days. I went there when I was 15 (mainly Gifu), it's a bit more populous than the shots Dave posted, but there are still heaps of vacant blocks, and I don't remember there being many buildings more than two storeys?? Anyway, it's funny that, even in an area where there is plenty of space, they still use space saving house designs. The homestay family I was with, their staircase was like a bloody ladder, it was so steep and narrow. The bastards laughed at me because I came down it backwards - my feet wouldn't fit on the steps going forward :)

I used to be able to speak Japanese fairly well, but having not used it for the best part of seven or eight years, you could say it's pretty rusty :)

Bahhh...back in Xmas '99 after a long night out, we all caught the first train home back to Sanda. A few of my mates including myself slept along the seats against the wall and a few climbed up onto the bag racks and slept there all the way from Amagasaski to Sanda. They couldn't give a fark anymore, we were all completely exhausted and drunk. I'm sure the attendant would have came around but none of us would have been awake.

...and we wonder why the Japanese think of us so badly, stupid young gaijins we were. I guess it better us sleep on the train home then sleep at the park.

This reply is WORTHLESS without pics!!!! :)

Bloody Aussie tourists...

LOL...I wish I had, though the fact was it was 5 years ago and I couldn't afford a Digi and we were all completely smashed.

Like we will be with the upcoming installment of the "Just tryin to get it in - consult me!!! aka Justin" Vs "Jaggy Bastard aka Troy" next pool game.

Here are some pics of the truly *HUGE* electronics megastore, Yodobashi Camera:

It really is my favourite store in the world... bar all the SuperAutobacs, Crystals, UpGarages etc :D

A typical giant TV screen... a feature of the bigger cities in Japan. This ones different because it's "Yodobashi-Vision".

Hey!!! It's Eric Bana! Anyone remember him from the Comedy Company? Well, of 100 Japanese girls polled, 95% of them prefered Eric Bana over Brad Pitt!

There had to have been at least 1000 people on the 1st floor alone... :0

Just 1/3 (!!!) of the TV display... see how the display curves around to the left? Well theres just as many big flatsceen TVs stacked like in this pic going around the full 180 degrees.

I liked this one! ALL the info for the status of the media in use is displayed on that little screen, BECAUSE THIS MUTHA HAS A 40 GIG HDD!!!!! And ADSL network adapter! NO.MORE. CD. BASED. MEDIA. Everything can be d/l'ed irect from the web. Are these type of stereos in Oz? :D

At this point, a security guard politely asked me not to take anymore pictures... nevertheless, I shall be back with more soon!

hey rezz....is it worth holding out to buy a digi camera or any electronic stuff in japan than say from duty free?? im headin down in a month thats why i ask:D

    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
