R34 Gt-Four Diffs And Diff Ratios

Hi all

Just trying to find some info on diffs and diff ratios for R34 GT-Fours - have searched high and low but can't find a definitive answer.

Does anyone know for sure, what is the diff ratio front and rear?

And is the rear diff LSD?

The RB26 is in, with the GTR front diff still attached, but wondering whether there is actually any difference between the GT-Four and GTR diffs as the rear is still stock GT-Four.

If the ratios are different, I assume having GTR front and GT-Four rear will affect the ATTESA?

Is the GT-Four rear diff LSD do you know?

Should be. All other 4wd turbo Skylines were. But viscous LSD = more bumcloud anyway.

So I'd be better off going for the R32 GTR mechanical LSD in the rear end?

Yeah, assuming that's to match the engine's diff. Any mech LSD would be fine. Being an AWD you probably don't want a stiff 2-way in the back. You don't need any extra understeer.

Ah right, I guess I'll just have to pull the propshaft out and drive around as a RWD until I source a rear diff!

Just be careful your ABS could start playing up, the ABS sensor for the R34 is in the rear diff.
