Hello,

Just purchased a 1999 R34 GT-T, but the fuel gauge doesn't work properly.

Such as, i go to the servo and put some fuel in it, but no sooner have i left it's sitting on empty again. Was wondering if this is common/easy fix to this?

Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before, knew to this forum.

Cheers, Zac

I had that problem on my old 33 once, you fill it up but gauge doesn't work. The problem was the fuel level sender-it was stuck and not moving. Try taking it out and giving it a good clean to get it working again.

Everytime i go to the servo i fill it up to the top, as i've heard that can sometimes fix the issue. It seems to be working to an extent but, when i reach about half a tank the gauge drops to empty. Knowing full well i've still go plenty of fuel it slightly annoying.

Would cleaning the sensor still help this? Or would the be something more to it. If cleaning the sensor would help, how exactly do i get to it to clean?

It may help so its worth giving it a try. Theres a good write up on how to do this. Heres the link http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/363010-fuel-level-sender-cleaning-r33-gtst/
