Stolen R33 Deer Park[Found/update!]

Recommended Posts

I spoke to the officer and she flat out told me it was my fault for not having insurance and that 2k was very reasonable....

Speak to her senior officer

Not your fault no one told you

Though maybe you should have logged a phone call here and there :/

I was in regular contact with the police when my car got stolen

Alright that sounds like the next logical step, I'll definitely try to see if I can go to a superior officer if not i'll seek some legal advice/ring up the fair trading ombudsmen.

Thanks for the help btw all, appreciate it. Never been in this kinda situation before so not really sure whats really within my power

Hey mate,

Did you report to Sunshine Police station?

Because my stolen car was found by the Sunshine police and towed to spot on panel in Deer Park, with my permission as they called me at 5am asking me.

What i was told that the police did the finger print screening at the spot on panel place then the spot on panel place was suppose to contact me to pick up the car but instead didn't and just held it there for storage fees....

Anyways, mine was stored at the spot on panel place around the same time as yours i believe i saw your car there atleast it was very similar. I asked him about it and he said that the owner didn't want to pick it up.

He wanted me to pay something like $600 for him to release the car which was at his place for 2weeks..... walked out and let my insurance picked it up.

Spot on panels, the Deer Park branch atleast blamed on the police for not contacting me too. I reckon they just want to hold it for more storage fees.

Wow chances are it was my car since it's been there for so long, Thats dodgy as claiming I didn't want to pick it up when I was never informed. That time discrepancy is the thing that annoys me more than anything

I don't know if I will go as far as court or anything like that, But i'll definitely be seeking some legal advice its daylight robbery if they get to keep my car sell it and keep profits or force me to give them 2k which is never going to happen.

I'll keep everyone posted on the progress of this whole ordeal

I saw it parked out the back last week (straight down the end through the gate). I thought it might be your car.

They've got some burnt out p.o.s parked out the front that they must be keeping to try and get money out of some other poor bastard!

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
