Hehe thanks!

I love this true story from Broome

"A tourist caught himself with a HD hook whilst angling. He couldn't pull it out without major damage, so he got himself to the local base hospital. The attending nurse said that the Dr was off for the afternoon but she'd try and get him on the mobile if he was within range. Fifty minutes later the Dr came up to the tourist whilst still bare chested, in board shorts and sandals. An incision via a local was about to commence. The tourist then said, "You don't look much like a Dr" to which the Dr replied, "And You don't look much like a fish"".

Hope things are still fine!

Thinking of you atm whilst my wife is getting scans and then sees oncologist in a couple of hours.

Meanwhile here at Norwest Private a man walks out of a cardiac ward > sees me > talks to me as if I'm his cardiologist.

Why do people think that just because I'm chinese I must be a doctor? I'm wearing sandals FFS!

So I send him to a dementia unit - jk

Maria is clear! Many thanks folks! :)

Best of luck with your wife any news? Btw I thought u were a doctor too lol. The high level stuff still hurts a bit but hopefully will improve with time at least I'm not dead, seriously though life is tough this year has been a constant struggle in almost every level, on a basic level I havnt seen my Gtr in 3 months! I will hopefully get it back this week and start the clutch change :-( it's stuff like that it just keeps mounting, then staff leaving, being sick forces me to work 70 hours again which I really don't want to do but nobody wants to work hard anymore! Anyway as I said could be worse and terry I hope your wife gets the all clear.

Thanks heaps Scott. Any more news?

All clear with wifie...

Asked her if she'd like a cruise to NZ at Christmas/NY but she declined.

Maybe she guessed it was just therapy for me - lol

Hope your pains diminish Scott!

Keep us updated pls!

Event Archives > R34 GTR 10th Anniversary

Also in Motive DVD #3

And HPI Mag #113

And lol, Daily Telegraph 17/4/09

Beyond Blue wouldn't be party to this event because they regarded it as "risky"!

McGrath Foundation accepted monies with both hands :)

The R33 GTR 21st Anniv is in 2.5 yrs Scott.

But hey, we can arrange something early next yr I'm sure :)

I'm thinking what about a run to wisemans? Start at crossroads costco to thornleigh Maccas then old road to somersby to wisemans then Windsor somewhere then home, should cover a big area of members that way , any thoughts? Maybe late jan or early feb?

Scott

I thought I'd heard that admin costs Scott were to be open and transparent and accessible to the public; eg Salvos Bushfire Appeal is going to be zero admin costs, compared to Aust Cancer Council admin costs being fairly high. McGrath Foundation admin costs at Willoughby are supposed to be low.

I wonder if there's some database.

    • Jack the back of the car up, pull that wheel off, pull that sensor out, and put a bore scope into the hole to inspect the outer casing, see if anything looks damaged before you pull the whole thing apart.
    • Ergh... So I pulled the speed sensor out again and the tip was shiny so I think it's rubbing the bearing. The bearing contains the magnets for the speed sensor so I think when the first sensor broke it damaged the magnet ring on the bearing.  This is just a Google image, but there is a hole going to the bearing. So when the tip broke off the old sensor I'm guessing it fouled the bearing... As the magnet is only protected by a plastic cover it would be easy to damage it. So I guess I'm doing a bearing again.
    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
