just reading an article on Carpoint (msn car page) about a new volvo station wagon..............

i'll cut and paste a bit from the mech part of the write up

"The slightly smaller 2.4-litre engine is naturally aspirated and produces 125kW of power and 230Nm of torque. It's capable of accelerating from rest to 1000km/h in 8.2 seconds, and has a claimed fuel consumption of 8.7 litres/100km"

1000km/h!!!! volvo's entered the performance market by the looks of things....

I was reading that too.. The more interesting one is the 2.5L turbo w/ around 0-100 of 6.5sec.. But at $68k not going to see that many around here.

maybe the RAAF could buy some..........slap some wings on the side of them and use them to replace the F1-11's

at 1000kmph they'd do the job!

mmmmmmmmm.........might see some turbo ones around. Volvo's are quickly turning into stock sleepers........there is the upper crust family market.
