Hi everyone!! I have some great news for all L20ET owners & HR30 owners with L20ET engines...I know this is a very very very very rare engine! For the last year or so I have been looking for an L20ET wiring diagram, all I could of ever find close to it was the L28ET wiring diagram which didn't help me. After searching and searching and searching everywhere on the internet including all these kinds of forums, no one could of helped me. I have found the original L20ET wiring diagram!!! It's the same 3 jack ECU, its for the L20E & L20ET...Don't mind I forgot what I searched for in google, but I found it in google images and I cleared my history already, anyways I have the diagram THANK YOU JESUS! The only problem is that is in Jap/Chinese and I need it to be translated ASAP!

I will post the diagram below and can someone please take it and translate it to english. I'm sure this will be very helpful to all the L20ET owners such as myself. W-12_HR30_L20E_L20ET_ECCS_1983.pdf

I also have the complete diagram for the interior of the car also, that needs translating as well. Let me know if you need it. Please translate this 1 to english. Thanks!

All L series 6 cylinder engine blocks are the same external dimensions BUT!

An L20A cannot be bored to L24 spec of 83mm and similarly an L24 block cannot be bored to L28 spec of 86mm as there is not enough metal in the bores.

And L24 & L26 blocks share the same bore of 83mm and by using an L28 crank and suitable rods an L24 can be stroked to over 2600cc.

In the US, they have bored an L28 block to 89mm and created an L31, but not turbo, normally aspirated only as they have found in most cases, the bores are to thin and become porous when boost pressures from turbo charging is applied.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
