Watch out for that honky, he be burnin!

See you tonight. Think I'll drive my lil shitbox, considering the parking situation.

Which one?

Yeh, Mat has all sorts of contagious ailments but he is still going! :P

I dont want to know how you know this lol, and no worries Terry.

I think i might be allergic to all SAU tech nights. This is the second i havent been able to attend :(

Another successful night.

Thank you to the Execs, and JLM for their hospitality. A frank and open discussion on the ins and outs of the industry, interactions with government, and law enforcement was interesting. Lots of interesting parts, motors, and cars to cast the eye over, as per usual.

Enjoyed "fish sticks" as geeteetee put it, served on the bonnet of a WTAC contender. Certainly novel.

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
    • That is surely the biggest gathering of Stageas in North America, ever!
    • Remember kids - if you can't afford to buy 2 GTRs......
    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
