I guy on these forums contacted me as I was looking for a bonnet for a stagea said he one but was interstate.

I sorted everything out with him price and postage. Then direct deposited the money and now the guy has vanished. Kept saying he was busy he will get to it. Now wont answer my calls won't respond to msgs. Added him on Facebook contacted him that way. Then he deleted me.

The guy on here's name is TANGENTS.

I have his full name and address but don't think it's right. To disclose that just yet.

All I want is the bonnet or my cash back.

where in nsw, if he is close to me i will kindly knock on his door for you :domokun:

Please tell me you plan on making him pay up with q little stick just like that emocon.

On another note sux to hear about people ripping people off on here, but as said above im sure some nsw members would be willing to do a house call

Administrators please pull this down if further action is needed I am happy to go to the appropriate people but I will let this stand another couple of weeks. out of benefit of the doubt. Cheers for everyone's offers. Just thought people should know.

Internet forums contain the full spectrum of people; it's inevitable that bad things will happen, and it's naive to think that everyone is trustworthy.

Given this was resolved with a successful outcome; perhaps it would be an idea to edit the title of this thread, or even lock it; so that it doesn't keep arriving at the top of the page with a negative spin on Tangents trustworthiness.

    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
