yeah, 250kw ATW with the turbo and stock internals

he's hoping for 500 or something HP with better internals

ran 15.3 at AIR with the 198HP (not sure whether at engine or not) NA build

After looking at the dyno sheet, it appears to me that it made (on the previous engine: stock internals, injectors + bolt-on turbo) 249.9fwkw running dangerously lean!!! >14:1 A/FR is lean for an atmo engine, let alone one with forced induction!

With his new engine and turbo set-up I'd say it "should" have big potential. After all we are talking about a very close match for the Mitsubishi 3000GT engine. With his 3.0L V6 now sporting stronger internals and serious support systems to match it will be interesting to see how it goes on the dyno at Autosalon.

I dunno' about the bit on his web site about leaving "burning Skylines and WRXs on the side of the drag strip"

wow tough crowd here.

At least this bloke is putting in some effort for performance not rice.

And in the end fwd is no issue when you're in Alice Springs, its not like there's a heap of standing starts or corners to contend with :)

In the real world (i.e no complete combustion or 100% efficient use of fuel) 14.7 AFR at the top end of an engines rev range is not healthy, be it NA or forced induction. The NA LS1 Commodore guys would be a tad worried if they were getting 14:1+ AFRs! Have a look at the BOONGA Magna dyno sheet, post turbo upgrade. Those top end AFRs look like piston munchers to me.

hence why i didnt we didnt do more then 13psi. and i did write on the dynosheet "max injector flow"... we didnt just strap a turbo on and say "its good enough"

we found a faulty earth to the pumps, which in the end killed both bosch motorsport 700hp pumps.. :Bang: ... which *may* of had a negetive effect on the final HP figure, as the computer was asking for more fuel, the pump just couldnt supply because of bad power system to it... i will only find out once i replace the pumps

so not happy there.

im currently building the new engine with bascally every internal component replaced. aiming for 400fwkw. dyno and stip only.

on the street, the 250kw i already have is a killer!!!.. my 19's just smoke up when i lauch too hard  ... still have to refin my lauch style

Cheers for the comments :headspin:

No matter how much everyone bags you out, I think its an awesome car. Got looks and sounds as if it would go like stink as well. All the Skyline boys saying how its shit coz its a FWD and not giving it a chance probably think that they are the quickest car around with the only mod on their car being a cat back exhaust and pod filter. Me thinks it would leave many Skylines for dead, if it gets good traction to the ground!

:):):D:):D:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

does this mean you only have a cat back?:)

    • Was there ever a model of the Stagea m35 that didnt have a badge on the grill? I thought I saw that somewhere, some aero edition or something? I cant find it again? davemoto
    • Its a 2002 vr-x four VQ25DET, silver. Coil overs, lowered, polished alloys and sport exhaust. Bit of a project, was sitting in a shed for a while but runs and drives great.
    • I wasn’t able to replicate the sound anymore. It was a one time sound so maybe it was just coincidence but it was like small pebbles being dropped in a coke can.   should I try cleaning the MAF? It could be it’s functioning but dirty? I don’t know.
    • Update 4: Hi all. The car drives again! Haven't driven for long, only to store it in the garage again, but the test drive was successful. The coolant and oil leaks seem to be fixed for now. Temps on the engine were also very good, while moving I never even saw 80C water during the approx. 30 minute drive. Ate up all the coolant in the reservoir though so will have to fill that even more when I go to the car next time. One thing that pisses me off is that the RPM gauge is still f**ked, I even resoldered the board twice and used copper paste on the silly screws that are used as connections. Next time I take it out I'll take apart the board and fit new components, I'll see if I can get a replacement IC for it.  I have an appointment set for 22nd of September for the engine tune to 370hp. Alignment also still needs to be done. My hope is that I can get all the legal stuff over with by the end of this season. Anyone of you have advice regarding intercoolers? Currently there is an APEXI core fitted, one of those weird hybrid ones, 600x270x76. I don't think it's bad but it's not new and now I still have the chance to change it now to legally include it in the paperwork. Only issue is that the only options that would arrive in time are a HKS Type R intercooler or generic Ebay spec intercoolers comparable to a JustJap one. Ideally I'd order a Plazmaman but it takes over a month to receive which would mean making the car legal has to wait until next season. Would love to hear some input on this. Same story for my injectors, the previous owner was a nunce and put ID 1050x on the engine. They work but are obviously not ideal at "normal" power levels. But I don't see a reason to change them unless the tuner says it's necessary. I read online before buying a different exhaust that the top secret style rear diffusers won't fit due to the size of the rear resonators. My buddy and I made it work by slightly "adjusting the shape" of the mounting bracket and making some spacers out of 3d print for the mounting bolts. Fits like a charm. Just putting this here in case someone has this problem. Even the hefty HKS Silent Hi Power rear can fits without hitting anything.
    • Well they got my money but they are not getting my gearbox !
