As I've been recently discovering, having a professional import for you is apparently a much safer bet than dealing with the inadequacies and deceptiveness of some local dealers out there!

Yes.

If done properly by taking your time, using a good broker and understanding what's involved in the process.

Plenty of the Aussie websites have good guides to the process.
