Hi everyone,

I've been doing some research into aftermarket cat back exhaust systems and the one thing i'm strugling to work out is how many of these systems are actually roadworthy/meet EPA requirements?

I know that the Tanabe medallion is considered to be fairly low noise but does it still meet regulations?

What about the Invidia or Fujitsubo? I know the motordyne sounds fantastic but surely there is no way this passes regs correct?

Any thoughts? I want a new exhaust but I also don't want to be constantly worried about being fined and having to do tests etc.

Anyone had issues and how did you get round them?

Some of the Fujitsubo systems are right on the maximum noise limit, like the M35 Stagea 80mm system. If you can find and translate the respective manufacturers page it should give an indication as to the noise level to meet Jasma standards, which are only a little higher than ours.
