Auto Stuck In Park

so i bought a 89 r32 gts-4 skyline on the cheap, new it had a few issues but dont mind that. started it up, ran like crap so decided to do the stupid thing and start upgrading some parts. now i have decided to move the car into the back yard but cannot take it out of park to push it out the there. been told that it has a sensor connected to the brakes that release the t-bar but one of the issues it has a leak. no fluid at all. plus i cant start the car missing alot of parts i have pulled off. is there a cheat way to get past this?

The "sensor" is the brake light switch which is on the pedal box under the steering column. Test it to see if it closes when the pedal is pushed. Otherwise you can just short the connector on it to fake it.

as above really, with ignition on when you push the brake pedal you should be able to hear the interlock moving inside the console

you can take the console apart & remove it to get past it

thanx for the replys, started to pull off parts of the centre console and noticed a little button on the back of the tbar was broken off so i pressed it with a screwdriver and presto can move the bar. thanx all again until the next time.
