Just bought a 2001 300gt and I've searched but still have a few questions.

Done the manifold clean because it had hot starting issues ( it was caked on in there!). Now I have high idle problems. I've tried the reset thingo but still no go. Not sure if I'm doin it right or is there a different sequence for 300's? Just brings up a picture of a spanner and says "pit" on the screen.

Also I've read that 300's don't have vdc bit mine has? Also has a electronic muffler and that sonar cruise control thing. There's a button under the dash near the muffler and vdc controls that says "auto". Anyone know what it does? Small round one.

Please move if not in right section. Cheers

It should work, it works on vq25det motors, which have similar ecus. The timing is the most critical thing, and it must be done when the car is hot.

Pit screen is totally unrelated. Pit screen is just a service reminder scheduled into the on board computer. It requires a manual reset you go through the menus to do.

What do you mean vdc? Traction control?

Auto is probably the rear mirror tilt.

Ah k at second glance the button has a picture of a side mirror on it so it might be that?

Yea vdc (vehicle dynamic control) I believe it's called. Makes no difference on/off guess maybe in the wet or really flogging it.

No v35 has VDC in the true sense of the modern system.

The rwd models have traction control, which cuts power once rear wheel slip is detected. It does not provide any assistance to gather the car back up into control.

Awd models as in stageas and g35x don't have any systems but the attesa awd system.

Yup, it tilts the side mirro down when in reverse to see the kerb.

What do you mean 'true sense'?

The 350GTs have VDC that can brake individual wheels when it detects loss of control based on steering wheel angle, wheel speed and yaw sensor. and it does much more than the basic TC that the 300 and 250GT has which just prevent rear wheel spin due to a heavy right foot.. Although VDC may have been an option on those according to the OP's info.

Really? Cool. I thought they only got TC not a proper stability system. RWD stageas only got traction control, no vdc. Which is a bit lacking by 2007.

yep, mine gets tested every now and then. There is an off camber roundabout near my house that gets stupidly slippery with the first rain of the wet season.

Yeah but even when you turn it off it still keeps the braking/antislip on so if you are used to a car stepping out and tap the brakes the anti slip kicks, or even go round a wet corner under slight brakes it kicks in only braking one caliper... weirdest/worst feeling if you try to correct it like a normal RWD car, almost conterproductive

I have heard that a simple 'press-off' will only turn it off up to 60km/h, and there is some other procedure for switching it off for all speeds, something like holding the button in for 10 sec.. never tried it myself, so I can't be sure.

It should turn off VDC and TC. but I don't think it turns off ABS.

      So....to find any R chassis part number, get your VIN (will be something like ER33-xxxxxx for you) and go to: https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan and enter it. From there you have access to a web version of Nissan's part system, FAST. It is a bit tricky to get used to, so maybe have a shot and post up what you think.  You can also search by general model but note in some cases your car might have different options so VIN is safest.  On diagram 211 I got 14075-75T16 for Connector, Water Hose If I search for part 14053‑21U10 that you posted, that is also a water hose but not the one bolted to the plenum and 14075‑04U00 is the fitting where the water hose goes into the block.

      Yeah now we are talking I much prefer coolers in the front middle because it lessens the chance of a small bump to a corner stopping the whole event. I was thinking the AT cooler can move out of the radiator, delete the AT/engine coolant interwarmer and mount a separate cooler with a thermoswitch somewhere further back as is common in racing, that would be one thing. Beyond that, the engine oil cooler is an obvious one to move to the wheel arch, potentially one on each side, but unused space is an issue. I did have a earlier pic with the bumper off but it doesn't show how busy the corners are: DS is full of the auto driving sensors and PS is totally fully of windscreen washer fluid reservoir But ultimately I was hoping to keep the AC, and the water/air heat exchanger is fundamental so it is not just the radiator that needs to be in front BTW here's airflow to the rad as it ran at the track (one horn is gone now and I'll remove the lights next time):

      your right the maps for Australia came out in 2017 but are 2010 maps. i got the updated maps SD card put it in and it was the same. Same maps in my Brothers Nissan Patrol. 2020 i think his car is

      Yeahhhh, the costs have killed me. Spent more than the cost of an engine rebuild and it most mostly servicing and a tune lol.
