Dale always brings the lolz to anything.

If ol mate got his facts right instead of posting any old shit up for people to swallow and didnt personally attack fellow members cars i woulnt have taken it further.

But well and behold he did...and all from a SAU VIC, sure is giving them a good name.

Hey 'ol mate' - you threw the first stone when you came in here on your low and ugly horse calling the group and me as a representative of that group 'v-tards' - what do you want, a standing ovation for that witticism?

I was right, you were wrong, I corrected you and gave you an equally targeted personal insult in return - you cut up rough and bought your cavalry of band-'wagon' fanboys in to save face - and then suggest that I am in some way expected to hold up an expectation that all people who pay a $75 donation to this club must be good blokes and tolerate all fools?

How many other ways do I need to point out you are wrong?

Daleo - empirical evidence refers to a widely accepted viewpoint arrived at by observation of a collection of sources (qualitative). In laypeople terms, if enough people agree on something being right it is generally safe to accept that. I quoted those websites as an example of that information being consistent across a number of sources in line with the definition of the term.

I'm also the only one who has answered the OP's question.

Your move.

because half of you post utter crap without using the search function/G35driver.com/google first. ITS NOT HARD!!! we wont hate you for bringing up an old thread instead of posting a new thread about the same thing....

i didnt ask them to put their two cents in mate, they did it of their will.

thinking that $75 is an ego boost

My move?

Ok Mat, but I don't recall needing to have your permission.

You are right, Mark did target first; but the only reason you would've bitten back at an insult that clearly wasn't actually directed at an individual, is that you clearly see some truth in it.

As for you being the self appointed leader of the V35 forum; Congratulations on your lofty post, exactly when did the vote happen, and who else was a candidate?

Your (somewhat delayed) righteous indignation is comical; why would you call someone you've never met; a retard? Seems there's no standard like a double standard.

The inference that Mark needed to purchase (see "bought" in your comment, not brought) support would suggest that I don't actually look at subjects in any subforum I please; because that is my want.

I'm well aware of the definition of Empirical Evidence, thankyou; your condescending tone towards me is completely unnecessary and unwanted.

I was simply pointing out the irony of holding up the webpage of a car importer and an online information source as undeniable proof of your argument. Frankly I still find it completely hilarious that you are saying this.

If in fact you ever had to provide Empirical Evidence for anything; I doubt two unsupported sources would actually cut the proverbial mustard.

I (and doubtless many others) can use the internet to find any information on any subject, to support any argument; real or imagined at any time I choose. It's not a special skill that you have developed, trust me.

To be honest with you Mat, I'm happy to accede to anyone with expertise or knowledge in any area; but when they are as arrogant and unnecessarily insulting as you have been, I'll admit I do tend to climb aboard my horse.

As you've so ably demonstrated; a supposed common interest in cars and a club membership is no guarantee of meeting like minded people.

And as for your final comment; I believe the question was answered almost a day prior to you swaggering in on your rather slow pony; and actually providing any real information.

And even then, the assembled masses had to wait 4 posts, and almost 4 hours before you finally decided to bring the fabled tablets down from the temple mount to set them on the path to true wisdom.

And even then you couldn't manage it without being a bit of a know-it-all.

I'd like to thank you on behalf of all people everywhere for this opportunity to point out to you; what is blindingly obvious to EVERYONE else.

Have a great weekend.

I most certainly will.

As I said - i don't tolerate laziness or fools alike.

Almost everything you have said reflected my exact intentions.

So I'll chalk this up to success.

And to note; I would never appoint myself as a 'leader' - your 'ol mate' and mine did that by implication. Although, the fact that you seem to feel fit to speak on behalf of 'EVERYONE' else would suggest you perhaps have a different opinion of yourself it seems.

Further to that, as of this weekend I don't even own a V-series so my interests in defending a 'community' are nought. But I would never target a collective and refer to them as 'v-tards' in defense of my own lack of intelligence. If my tone smacks of arrogance it's because I share the same dismay at people's lack of ability to seek their own information, or alternatively a penchant for imparting disinformation.

I hope this response is timely enough for you, unfortunately I don't normally spend my days compiling verbose responses on forums; but hey, you bait - I'll bite.

There is a nice red one in the classifieds with leather and sunroof.

I would suggest buying one of the rarer colours - there are far far too many silver ones on the market. Come resale time, a unique colour will present a better sales proposition.

Fair point, but red fades a lot quicker than silver or white will, and these are 10 years old now - plus these cars look super smart in silver or white, even with stock wheels!

But the red one is definitely in my price range, though the kms are pretty high.. I'll have to go have a look.

I wouldn't stress on that too much. Faded red paint is a throwback to the early 90s and single stage paint systems.

Similarly with km's - with any grey import unless you can site deregistration papers it's safer to assume its been wound back. Go by condition of the leather bolsters, steering wheel etc for a more accurate idea of mileage.

A red car with some paint correction and regular maintenance looks amazing!

The white one looks good on paper - kms, features, etc. Though the carbon fibre looks kinda daft.. again, think I better go check it out in person.

Agree with your comment Smokey - assume the odo has been wound back. How hard would it be for someone to do this? Its a digital readout, but where/how is the data captured?

1st car (white) - it is dead easy to 'wind' back the km - there is a guy in Sydney who will do it for $100 - 5 minute job with a laptop. Love the hella flush stickers and stock wheels ... I assume it has been stocked out - I bet it had an 'easy' 2,000km a year life of rice, rice, rice thrashed within an inch of its life.

2nd car (silver) ewwwwww willow interior and beige seats - there is no limit to how much you would vomit just sitting in that car :)

3rd car - who advertises a car without pictures??? also listed as an 'SP' - sorry champ that delineation didn't come out until V36 - I assume they mean 'Premium'. But no pictures????

    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
    • More so GReddy oil relocation kits, sandwich plates, etc. all use 10AN fittings. And same, I've only used 10AN and my car sees track work (circuit, doing laps, not 10 sec squirt business).
