RB25 plenum on 3L block leads to bonnet clearance problems. That's one of the benefits of using an RB26 head, is that you get to use the RB26 plenum and so avoid having to lower the engine.

The two inlet manifolds are not interchangeable anyway. You'd need to make a reverse of the usual adaptor that people have to put RB26 plenum onto RB25 head. Which is just a further pain in the arse that you don't need.

Just seems like too many steps in the wrong direction, to gain a small torque advantage that the 3L bottom end probably doesn't need anyway.

I think you will find that the RB30 will give you heaps of torque anyway. I have an RB25 head on my RB30 with a Greddy copy FFP which is probably not ideal but the car pulls like a train from 1000 rev/min in top gear. You can see my torque curve in the RB30 upgrade thread at the top of this page.

Or not - seems to be a glitch with the website or its undergoing maintenance or maybe the problem is just with my computer/connection - no pics or charts.

I'll try a photobucket link (strange - that seems to have appeared briefly and then disappeared??)
