Hi Guys/Gals,
I'm looking to hire a skyline R34 GTR for my husband to be for our wedding in December this year, at North Brisbane, as a surprise for him . He's sacrificed a lot for our family, including his dream car which is a 34 GTR, and I was hoping someone would be willing to let him drive it from our home to our wedding venue (which is about 20minutes). I'm more than happy for the owner to be in the car when he drives as well, just incase they'd prefer to be in it too as he drives. I'm also willing to pay a fee to cover fuel and for their time, and we can discuss insurance policies ect further as well. I've joined several other groups (Downshift, Boost Cruising ect) in hopes to find someone. If anyone can help or point me in the direction of someone I would be extremely appreciative.
Thanks in advance!
Steph :)

Most of the guy's here would be more than happy to Drive your future husband to the event. They would even get him there in an excited acceleration manner too.

The difficult thing would be for them to let someone they do not know drive the vehicle that they have poured ludicrous amounts of time, money and in is some cases nearly their soul into, Insurance in the event of son of rajab forbid the worst happening would not cover the hours of time spent on this very forum researching the way to improve the car let alone the hours slinging spanners and working with tuners to make it into the beast your future husband desires so much.

I am pretty sure that if asked the QLD Club could arrange a lift for him and possibly an escort of other skylines if the members were so willing and that is what you desired, but I believe that being allowed to drive it may be a bit much of an ask.

I hope all goes well with your magical day and it turns out how you dream it to.

Which is completely understandable! He owns a skyline R32 GT-ST and is a mechanic himself, so I understand how passionate people are about their cars and how they can spend endless hours (and money) on them. I'm just hoping that someone is willing to do that, if not I'm more than happy just for him to be one and rock up in it :) Thank you for the well wishes as well!

Thanks Dan! Knew it was a long shot but thought I'd try anyway ;) Not exactly sure how to work this forum (I'm a bit computer illiterate!) so could you point me in the direction where I could start asking for someone to take him? Id really appreciate it :)

4 x Bayside Blue can be done, as long as the guys don't have them in the workshop at the time.

Steph, do you have a colour preference?

We've also got the Charity cruise coming up. Reckon that you can have your boys ready? 8/12 is what we're looking at at this stage.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
