Pictures were too big to put on here...

G'day

Not sure if you're the bloke I was texting this morning but not sure what the type/model is... I've tried researching on the internet quickly but can't seem to find the exact kit we have.
Yes, the oil pressure gauge is also a defi.

Looking at similar types of gauge kits on the internet, it looks like the going rate for a full kit like this brand new would be around $600 (correct me if I'm wrong).

As we don't have original packaging or manuals or know a lot about it, we have just put it up open to offers.

It was sold with the GTR when the old man bought it but never installed.

It seems like its a complete kit - it has the little computer unit with it and a bunch of wiring lumes.

Anyone interested in any of the parts, I can send photo's via text message. I'm just not full on computer savvy and couldn't figure out how to resize the pics to put on here haha

Hey mate

Are you after the speedo cluster or the centre console cluster? I have sold the speedo but still have the centre cluster.

I can get you a pic and organize for you to grab the centre cluster when I'm back next week if you like? (I'm currently in New Zealand and don't have much Internet or phone access). I'll be back on Wednesday.

Cheers

Most part still for sale/give away, along with some other parts I've found laying in the sheds to suit R33GT-R and R34GT-T. Too much to list.

If I can't get them gone soon, most of the standard OEM parts will end up at the tip (e.g. air flow meters, intake and cooler piping etc) so will be happy to give away for next to nothing.

Need this stuff gone - will be chucking most things out if no interest by next week.

Not money hungry - just need the space, so for most parts (as long as I get something instead of nothing at all), get in touch, come and view, and grab a good deal/free parts.

Refer above posts and please give my mobile a text or call as I am not regularly on here - 0457 504 844

Cheers

Brendan

Complete Defi gauge kit - sold

There is a lot of extra OEM stuff not listed so anyone genuine chasing anything in particular similar to the above, feel free to give me a buzz and if I have anything you want, I'll give you the address to come and view.

I apologise for not having every individual item listed but it's honestly like a bloody jap wreckers in our shed at present so I don't have time to sit down and list it all.

Both our cars have been extremely custom modified so there's heaps of intake/cooler parts, standard radiator, brake kits, RB26 engine little bits & bobs, speedo clusters + some interior parts, there's a kick arse aftermarket sound system out of the 34, wheels, wheel nuts etc

Honestly, don't hesitate to arrange a time with me to come and see what we have. We'd really like to get most of the shed parts cleaned out by Tuesday next week.

Cheers

A few extra little goodies re-discovered this afternoon for sale...

R34GT-T standard brake kit;

  • Front brake calipers and lines, good condition
  • Front standard rotors, good condition
  • Rear brake calipers and lines, good condition
  • No rear rotors
  • $200

X-FORCE 3 - 3.5" stainless high flow exhaust cat;

  • The only thing that sucks for me about this is that I can't see an X-FORCE part number or any markings on the cat so I guess you sort of just have to take my word for it that it is genuine - I have original receipt from Just Jap, I can prove the exact Just Jap part number - XFCATHF3INCH-TYPE3 (pretty sure it's a 200 cell cat), and Daren from Just Jap can confirm my account details to prove I am genuine if need be.
  • I had it on the car for about 1 year before changing to de-cat pipe, still presents in mint/as new condition
  • $100

Making good progress getting rid of some stuff finally. The following parts we definitely know of that are left;

R33 GT-R/RB26 parts;

  • Fuel pump
  • Injectors
  • Engine valley (sky blue)
  • camshafts + cam gears + valve springs
  • engine mounts
  • water pump
  • HICAS unit
  • front bar indicators
  • turbo exhaust dump pipes

Will update 34 GT-T/RB25 soon.

    • The rain is the best time to push to the edge of the grip limit. Water lubrication reduces the consumption of rubber without reducing the fun. I take pleasure in driving around the outside of numpties in Audis, WRXs, BRZs, etc, because they get all worried in the wet. They warm up faster than the engine oil does.
    • When they're dead cold, and in the wet, they're not very fun. RE003 are alright, they do harden very quickly and turn into literally $50 Pace tyres.
    • Yeah, I thought that Reedy's video was quite good because he compared old and new (as in, well used and quite new) AD09s, with what is generally considered to be the fast Yokohama in this category (ie, sporty road/track tyres) and a tyre that people might be able to use to extend the comparo out into the space of more expensive European tyres, being the Cup 2. No-one would ever agree that the Cup 2 is a poor tyre - many would suggest that it is close to the very top of the category. And, for them all to come out so close to each other, and for the cheaper tyre in the test to do so well against the others, in some cases being even faster, shows that (good, non-linglong) tyres are reaching a plateau in terms of how good they can get, and they're all sitting on that same plateau. Anyway, on the AD08R, AD09, RS4 that I've had on the car in recent years, I've never had a problem in the cold and wet. SA gets down to 0-10°C in winter. Not so often, but it was only 4°C when I got in the car this morning. Once the tyres are warm (ie, after about 2km), you can start to lay into them. I've never aquaplaned or suffered serious off-corner understeer or anything like that in the wet, that I would not have expected to happen with a more normal tyre. I had some RE003s, and they were shit in the dry, shit in the wet, shit everywhere. I would rate the RS4 and AD0x as being more trustworthy in the wet, once the rubber is warm. Bridgestone should be ashamed of the RE003.
    • This is why I gave the disclaimer about how I drive in the wet which I feel is pretty important. I have heard people think RS4's are horrible in the rain, but I have this feeling they must be driving (or attempting to drive) anywhere close to the grip limit. I legitimately drive at the speed limit/below speed the limit 100% of the time in the rain. More than happy to just commute along at 50kmh behind a train of cars in 5th gear etc. I do agree with you with regards to the temp and the 'quality' of the tyre Dose. Most UHP tyres aren't even up to temperature on the road anyway, even when going mad initial D canyon carving. It would be interesting to see a not-up-to-temp UHP tyre compared against a mere... normal...HP tyre at these temperatures. I don't think you're (or me in this case) is actually picking up grip with an RS4/AD09 on the road relative to something like a RE003 because the RS4/AD09 is not up to temp and the RE003 is closer to it's optimal operating window.
    • Either the bearing has been installed backwards OR the gearbox input shaft bearing is loosey goosey.   When in doubt, just put in a Samsonas in.
