Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Recommended Posts

I used to buy a good bottle of whiskey each year as a present to myself on my b'day. Macallan 30 yo, Laphroaig 25 and a Yamazaki 18 over three years. Then I went back to uni :(

Macallan 30yo that would of been an absolute pleasure / treasure. Been trying to find its younger brother the 25 yo (not he Fine oak one) but its very hard.

Uni life will usually mean low disposable income. But that will change Boz

The 25 YO Sherry shits on the 30 Fine Oak IMO. Not saying the 30 was bad (it's brilliant, too good for my palette in all honesty) just that the 25 sherry was much more to my taste. The fine oak had a bit too much sweetness to it for me and was a bit light. I like my whisky with a bigger body and stronger flavours. That said I have only ever had one dram of the 25 sherry for comparison...

To put this into perspective

I occasionally used to talk about the fact the panel gaps on my car are 100% factory spec, and would do panel gap inspections when someone showed interest in buying a car. Most of the time, I'd conclude with remarks to help the SAU'er. E.g. yeah, those panel gaps aren't factory, looks like its been in a hit. See that panel gap on the boot, it isn't flush and it's different to the other side, somethings going on.

From there it just blew up and it became a pretty popular term to use on the NSW forum for when taking the piss, it was the "in-phrase" for a good while.

For example, if someone was to if someone was to even minutely damage their car then their car is instantly considered a "write-off". When I made rolling contact with a car at about 1kmh on the way to a tech night, there'd be jokes such as yeah your panel gaps are f**ked now, car is a write off, which was all a good laugh.

I'd often get the piss taken out of me but as far as I knew it was all in jest and I took it in good stride. I guess the admins had enough of it and determined some people weren't using it in jest perhaps and wanted to put a stop to it. I was unaware of everything going on in the background.

Then the thread got fairly out of hand once someone took a low blow by saying that its a common conception im not all there in the head.... many users were left unimpressed by such remarks.

No worries, just clearing up any confusion so it can be put to rest.

Sinista32 who has been a member for 10 years has left the forum as a result of some of the goings-on in that thread ~ from what I've been told

Thanks for that update but we dont really need to involved in this at alllllll

agree. Thanks for clarifying this PG thing. But it's really petty and one of our members has already been perma banned regarding this.

Lets burry the hatchet for now.

My #1 whisky to somehow try obtain is the 1984 Yamazaki. A close second is any of the other Yamazaki 25's but the '84 is meant to be THE shit.

you and I share an equal passion there Boz. Would love to get my hands on the 25yo Yamazaki

is permabanning even possible when TOR exists?

permabanning has never really been possible, but admins can be persistent when it comes down to banning additional accounts...even if some innocents cop it in the process lol

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
