Damn!I now I wish I was on bookface.

Yes, Sean called me this morning.

Car went on dyno and in Sean's words 'it was mint on the dyno, just mint'

There are two issues though:

1. fuel gauge has been playing up and was / is reading it has fuel when in fact it doesnt - reads about two needles higher than the E(mpty)

2. there is some reversion (exhaust gases coming back in the exhaust) and something to do with the Exhaust sensor fouling some of his equipment - Sean will fix it

Otherwise, coldstart tomorrow and car should be ready by Thursday

I am so stoked for Ants. It's been a long process! I guess this means I should book in. The back log is clearing.

Thanks bud. yes, you should book mate.

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
    • I don't understand what the issue is with, turn the boost down and start saving $$.  As soon as you can afford the supporting mods, turn the boost back up.  If the car is running fine, enjoy it. Turning the boost down isn't going to kill you.
    • That is surely the biggest gathering of Stageas in North America, ever!

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
