i considered different wheels briefly but then ruled it out almost entirely based on cost vs performance advantage.

the old but reliable RPF01 or the new RS05RR

as seen here but less dish as that level of dishness to them is only avaliable on the 10.5" model which wont fit under the guards, hard to say how well they suit the evo in a 9.5" wheel as they are in limited supply and not a lot of pictures about.

And drift cars?

And choice of orange paint?

i dont have a drift car or the desire to go drifting? i dont even like doing burnouts, its a waste of perfectly good expensive tires.

orange paint because it goes with the colours of the car better than red.

old red

new orange.

i cleaned the wheels up afterwards, but they hide their brake dust well until something touches them.

    • Did you take the MX5 for a Blat around the Track at all?
    • LOL, "they said it might be slippery"..... 30 seconds in your off, 60 seconds in white twin backs into the corner That new track looks good, and the Datsun was chopping cars quite nicely
    • I'll get one of these also just for giggles
    • I bought 6 new spark plugs to compare readings. They will be here tomorrow and ill see if meter is far off if it all. I know one is at least reading 0 so its best replace all anyway if one is bad, from experience. I still have to test the harness just to be sure its not a double issue and I waste my time haha-the old plugs are iridium I always thought those lasted more than 50,000 km.
    • If you take the top half of the intake off you can unbolt the flap off the shaft and leave the shaft in there blocking the hole. Then you can remove the little vacuum canister off from under the manifold and get a spare vacuum line to run to the ECU. I can take some photos of it later. Probably best to get the vacuum source to the ECU sorted first though. Mine all worked mint with the base map from the GTT an I've pretty much let the closed loop sort the fueling and took 1 degree out of the whole timing map.
