Here enjoy some poetry

"So sit down my children

I've a story you see

Of good money squandered

On my r33

'Twas a warm summer evening

I laid eyes on her

It wasn't to angry

The sound of her purr

A sad '25

Lay under it's bonnet

No turbo in sight

I should not of bought it

But big plans lay in store

For the R33

To make it a monster

Powered by LS, not RB

I cut and I hacked

And I swore black and blue

And turned this poor car

Into a thing owned by few

It lives! I cried

As the LS erupted

This car has a soul

A soul I've corrupted

I fear no RB

As I roll down the highway

Stuff the conformists

I did it my way"

To much time on your hands..

Btw I like brakes

brembos from other cars ie R34 GTR are a poor upgrade...........save and get a big brake kit........I'm not a fan of Chinese brakes hence why I have AP Racing 6 pot brake kit

Brembo F50 / GT kit, Endless, Trust / Alcon all quality brakes but expensive

Mmm, much monies....

Shall have to get saving!

Yeah, money isn't really an issue at the moment, it's just a matter of time saving it. Car isn't going to be tracked seriously though, so I doubt that i'd get value out of a big brake kit. Get the impression that the R34ones are a little overpriced (cause R34, cause brembo), the 33 ones look like the ticket.

Edit: they're the same size anyway, didn't realise that.

edit edit: reading over old threads. 355mm rotor and caliper kit, 2006, $10000 bucks. :O

R33 brembos are not the same size as r32 gtr brakes. 325mm vs 296 R33 ones work easier than r34 ones because the bolts are the correct size.

yeah, I meant 33 vs 34, same rotor size, different caliper mounts, same pads.

for fr and rear yes. just upgrade the fronts to start of with then do the rear IF you need to.

After having a big front brake the rear brakes do not need to work as hard anyways so for occasional track days (even than occasional) rear stock calipers will suffice.

My Front APs cost less than 4,5k IIRC

    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
