*line up the cars for photo* *all crash into each other*?

this

It won't be a time attack Bodo. Me thinks you have skyline fever

bah, skirts :P

Yeah it's happy laps, I won't be going anywhere near fast enough to have issues, I just want to go for a drive with the ant eater!

lol, why do you guys all assume I need to be going far too fast all the time?

Especially with the chicane and a few cars on track, lakeside is safe. having said that, you can still go quite fast without any safety issues and hooking it through the witches hats as fast as possible is fun too

Morning all

Morning...slow morning it is too

Same same powahz as the abomb :)

less than half the displacement and at all 4 wheels I assume? or was it a 2wd dyno?

'As fast as possible' is not somthing I will be aiming at during Happy laps is all I am saying

Installed new Clamps... but don't really want to test them out. Got it up to 9PSI just on back streets around here (within limp home range) so I can drive the car... but i feel like i should get it to a QR happylaps or something to open it up properly, not the motorway where i can't get it off.

also, why the hell did nissan put the BoV's there.

Meh. Just take the necessary tools with you on the test run Pete. No need to wait for QR for that.

I guess i just need to pick a nice illuminated road with plenty of space on the side.. would get my legs run over taking the front bar off on the freeway!

That takes dedication, I'd presume doing around the letters must be a real pain in the ass?
it should be ok. A tooth brush will do the trick.

Not wrong re dedication but I enjoy it.

Got an idea about detailing the 'skyline' letters ;)

Secret for now

Nissan did have a factory option to add a red sticker that sat in the skyline letters on the rear bar. Probably wouldn't look too good on white but looks awesome on the darker colours

    • No requirement for JDM vehicles,  which the 33 is, maroney label only needed in the US market for new cars I believe (Federal law stuff) Google knows all
    • Hopefully you can just unbolt them, thank them for their service, then bin them and not replace them Apparently the sensors like to set them off with only minor impacts at low speed It looks like they do a delete kit for some of these, but, it is costly
    • I hope it's actually possible. This is a write off in insurance world.
    • Yup. 2-way with shallow ramp angles. Still works.
    • That was the first session so not a lot to take from the day. It was low 20s ambient and the coolant had got to 110 (and obviously had some pressure!) so that still needs to be addressed. I haven't downloaded the data yet but will. I had refilled the auto trans with Redline DT6 because it claimed the best viscosity I could find at 100o. It wasn't really long enough to get a good feel for that; while the trans got to 100o in the session it still wasn't shifting crisply as I hoped. I think I'll try a few more sessions before judging. No steering motor overheat but I'd hope not in only 1 session! But finally the suspension; it was night and day over the standard stuff and the car was a couple of seconds quicker on the same crappy tyres, which is a huge difference. I'll stick with that and get some sway bars and a mechanical diff sorted too and see how that all goes together
