Traffic in general sucks, I am never driving into the valley/city again unless I have to... f**k people, f**k people that can't drive and especially people that don't pay attention to red lights :domokun: ... I never drive Southside unless I REALLY have to but if I can avoid it I don't even drive into Chermside, it gets worse from there in!

Also I went to quote what you said Martin but even SAU is against me today...

Once you get past Chermside (outbound) it doesn't even count as Brisbane any more, you aren't in traffic because you are taking a gentle drive in the country!

It's not quoting in Chrome for me... I hate IE...

That's why I tolerate North of Chermside and nothing else... Even then, north of Carseldine I prefer... Or North of Morayfield... Or today nowhere there is traffic...

What's this traffic you talk about? Roads are always good during the middle of the day when I drive around...

I challenge you to test that theory on Sandgate and or Bowen Bridge to Gympie Roads!

    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
    • Bloody apprentices! 🙄
    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that🤣 So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough🙄
    • Keeping in mind that for most people this is a week to month long job!
    • Its also worth mentioning that 30 years after it left the factory and god knows how many missed oil changes since, there is every possibility that one or more lifters are ticking because they are sticky/gummed up. To resolve that you need to pull the cams then pull each lifter, disassemble, clean, reassemble, soak in oil and re-install, and they should come up good as new.
