Almost escaped home...but now have to go to the navy boat that is on fire and stand around for hours, Le sigh

In the navy........... well I just hope that no initiations take place all the whilst you are there

I don't think there are any navy folk there. Just ship yard people that let a 53 million dollar vessel go up in smoke!

Any of you guys used Uber for a taxi service? I'm going through the process to become a driver for some extra cash. Perks of having a 4 door car. :P

Nope, don't normally need taxis and the skyline isn't exactly a prime candidate to pick up randoms in.

I am convinced uber will lead to all time high levels of sex pestery

Haha... well Mike, you need a 4 door car. And Andy, you have to go through very strict screening. So far it's been more thorough than getting a taxi driver licence. It's all been very professional so far. More like chauffeur or limousine service than a taxi.

I doubt there's more sleazes than Yellow Cabs! :P

Other thing is people aren't randoms. They have to have an account with a credit card or paypal account linked, so you never get a skipped fare, and if they make a mess you can give them a bad review and charge cleaning fees. Then they get a bad record so other drivers will avoid them, and you let head office sort out your imbursement for cleaning.

Also means car is tax deductible. :D

    • Sequential Is fine to drive on the street
    • Well that is not a sign of good quality..  Understand, but not so nice to drive on the street I suppose and out of my price range..
    • I recently got myself a 1989 r32 GT-R and it has some slight smokiness from the exhaust and misfires sometimes when coming off the throttle. I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Brisbane region who will do a good job on it. It'll need a diagnosis, and most likely an engine rebuild with refurb/stock parts (not looking for a motorsport build... yet). If anyone has done something like this before/knows stuff about this in terms of who can do it and how much it cost, I'd like to hear about it. I was looking on the forum and I found some posts from 2020 that were similar to this, but it has been a while since then so if anyone has any updated info that would be great.  I'm also new to the forum so if this topic should be in a different place please let me know. Thanks in advance!
    • Stretching my memory now but about 10,000kms. After that I had a hissy fit. In went in a OS88 sequential then a PPG sequential. The extra gear is a game changer.
