Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Almost there......so annoying attempting to do the car around shift work. Mazda threw in one more awesome trick. The turbo has a nice little support underneath (must be because the turbo is so massive *cough*) so I need a 300mm extension bar so I can undo the 12mm bolt holding it in place. The exhaust and front transmission is well placed to make it even harder to manage.

Then all the new stuffs can go on!

Welcome to the world of modding where you will most likely have to buy special tools (or make your own) to carry out your turbo upgrade.

Also,

Is labdirect.com.au one of your direct competitors?

What do you need courage for Pete? Just have a big skull of scotch or something...

No harder job than timing belt right? Or am I missing something?

I'm actually trying to figure out if i need to take off the timing belt completely, or just undo the gears and put the new ones in in place, (assuming the timing belt etc is brand new, that's another thing) or if that's going to mess up the tension on the belt.

Long story short i don't have the tools to remove the harmonic balancer.

Pulley puller, cheap as ;)

Without knowing rb's specifically, I would say it will be faster and easier to pull the belt etc, do the gears and then chuck it back together ;)

Indeed, need to do the full Monty on it, perhaps even drop the radiator out too due to this one being stupidly thick. Not going to do it today though as I want the car tonight+on the weekend, its a Monday job.

Pete I recommend you take the car a good a mech and get it done there.

    • 21 is explicitly the coils detected as the issue. Is it guaranteed the actual issue? No. Just the ECU thinks it is. When you say rattling, describe it better, get an audio clip as best you can if possible.
    • Yea got me coppers. Bad news is I just put them in and the car still has the light and shakes. I also noticed I hear like rattling coming from the exhaust piping right under me. Does 21 also have a possibility of being O2 sensors?   So, coil packs are good, the harness is good, the MAF is working, and obviously the spark plugs just replaced and working.
    • Make sure you drop the GTT base tune back in, and set your injectors again, this will remove anything playing up with it you may have removed. Possibly lean there as it's normally a fast transient going THROUGH atmospheric pressure, and a turbo motor would then quickly go richer as boost builds. The only worry you MIGHT have is ignition timing, as the DE is higher compression than the DET from memory. But again, you're not in boost, so the DE motor will be a lot more forgiving at atmospheric.   Get Murray, Kinkstahs, and Johnny's input on tuning haltechs, those guys have played with tuning enough in the past to be able to help now you're past the trouble shooting stage of the MAP issue
    • @Rusty NutshI mate. Do you have a pinout diagram for the na neo auto ecu?
    • Yeah thats the plan now. 🤞
