Ive seen a few. It looks strange but its practical. Seen a few skylines towing small boats and trailers. Id shit my self though putting my skyline on a ramp let alone dunking the rear in the salt.

You don't know much about boat ramps or launching a boat do you? The car doesn't get wet. The wheels of the trailer will often go into the water a bit, but the car will still be a few meters from the water.

You obviously don't know much about country Victorians do you? Have seen a falcon wagon with the boot almost fully submerged just to get a dinghy off hahaha

Haha, it's only to tow a stand up jet ski and trailer (400kg max).

I never go out on my own, so if the ramp is too steep or whatever, I'll just hook the trailer up to my mates ranger...

I was more interested to see what they look like - I've googled the hell out of it, but can't seem to find any decent pics!

Mmmm not true. I own a boat, the trailer wheels get fully submerged and more often than not the wheels of our truck will make contact with the water. Its a big boat and if we don't do this we risk touching bottom on some ramps and it becomes a pain to get the boat off on a hot day where its sticky on the rollers. This is with a Mitsubishi Triton, high as f**k with big wheels. If it was a skyline, you will be touching the water if you're dropping off a boat. Ive seen cars get water up their exhaust, and very often.

out of curiousity how much were they quoting??? two places in Sydney wanted "atleast $1000" to fit one to my 32.......I just decided to buy a ute to tow my 4.5m boat instead.

I never ever have any part of my ute go into the water, however I did see this f**khead in a commo ss ute wheels half in the water a couple of years ago, he and his mates thought it would be a great idea to tow the boat and trailer out by smoking the rears........that ended in tears for the owner and plenty of laughter for me, and more laughter after I refused to tow him out.....and I was told I was a f**kwit!!

Somehow I doubt the towbar for a skyline would be rated high enough to tow anything that requires the car to go near the water. My 3.6m boat I have doesn't even need the hubs of the trailer to get wet, but then I built the trailer well. Dad's 4.5m boat doesn't get the car anywhere near the water either.

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
