Help! Wanting To Replace My Injectors In My R31 (Rb30)

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!!

Just wondering if anyone out there could tell me exactly how to replace my injectors. I'm putting standard ones back in. My car is running like crap an was told they need to be replaced. I am female and do not know a lot so any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you. :)

Unplug the wiring and then unbolt the fuel rial and remove the fuel lines and pull them out. A bit of fuel will spill out when disconnected. They just sit there held in by the fuel rail. You might have to remove the manifold if it is in the way. You will need to get the same size that is in there all ready. If you have aftermarket ones and you put stock ones back in without a tune it will run even more crap. Make sure the plugs for the wiring is the same. If they are aftermarket they could of been cut and modified.

It's not a hard job but if you don't know much about engines I would give it to someone to fix.

The old VL injectors had rubber hose on the feed, not sure about the R31 injectors but the VL ones looked like a pain to change without the common fuel rail.

It's not something you want to get wrong...

Seems like an easy job, but if you say that I can't make a mistake then maybe I will he someone to help or just give it to someone to do for me. Thanks so much for your helps guys. Ill have a look an if I think ill stuff it up ill get someone else to do it. Thank you! Your help is much appreciated :)
