As those of you who have read my signature may have noticed, a range of SAU merchandise is about to be manufactured.

A competent Adobe Illustrator user is needed to assist with the artwork for this merchandise. Approximately one hour of your time is required, preferably in the next day or so.

This is not a paid position, however you will be assisting SAU, your work will be worn all around Australia and you will be offered a merchandise gift voucher.

If you are in a position to assist, please e-mail tshirttext at endept dot com or send a PM. Please provide your name and outline your experience with Adobe Illustrator.

Further information regarding the merchandise, including details on products, prices and availability will be posted later in the week. Keep an eye out.

Okay, time to spill some beans.

In the absence of a volunteer, we will initially be offering one logo for all SAU merchandise. If viable, a second design may be offered in future. The initial logo is a variation of one you have all probably seen before.

sau-logo-1.gif

Merchandise will include:

Embroided, full colour:

Flexfit / full-fit hats.

Tight-fit beanies.

Polo t-shirts.

Female fit t-shirts.

Winter jackets.

Screen printed, single colour:

Standard t-shirts.

Long sleeve t-shirts.

Hooded jumpers.

Stickers:

Vinyl cut rear quarter stickers (above logo, full colour).

90cm URL stickers (single colour).

Prices are still TBA. All merchandise will be posted free of charge to any Australian address and every sale will see a donation made by tshirttext to SAU.

I am asking for comments and expressions of interest on the logo and merchandise options. Post only honest expressions, as prices will be based largely on predicted sales.

If you have any questions, feel free to post in this thread or e-mail me directly.

Further merchandise information and pictures will be posted ASAP.

Shan: Regarding SAU VIC merchandise, I have replied to you via PM.

Ben: We could probably make one g-bang, just for you...

As for the rest of you, do your lack of replies indicate that you're all happy with the above logo? Or does it indicate that nobody's interested in merchandise at all?

The above logo is already being used - but if you have any ideas, comments or suggestions regarding logos or merchandise, we want to hear from you ASAP.

do you want the "skylines australia" in the actual font style that nissan uses on R33 and R34's? I've traced them into illustrator paths, would look better than that bodgy font. Give me an email addy to send it to.

i like both logos... the first one probalby on the front/back of jumperts and shirts and the second one on hats/beanies and on the sleeve of jumpers/shirts...

will you have pictures of the items showing their exact layout before we buy? that would be good.

i'm keen on some stuff... jumper, shirt, and maybe beanie depending on style and prices

cheers,

Waz.

well, Shell and I have been discussing the merchandise SAU VIC n SAU NSW are gonna offer, and as it stands we've sort of decided to have seperate runs with different designs.

This is becuase SAU NSW merchandise will fill the NSW branch coffers and the VIC ones the VIC coffers, if that makes sense.

Neither of us exactly know where the forum merchandise fits in with all this.

PranK your help here would be great to avoid confusion further down the track.

As it stands the VIC club is just about set with designs and quotes (including from tshirttext at 3am last night :D from David), and ready to roll out caps, beenies and garage shirts.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
