Hey man, nah I doubt it, he said it's because of all the cootes trucks being defected or something, he told me that defect clearing for cars are only on Thursday's, I explained to him that I need the car for work and that it's my daily etc, so he stuck me in for Tuesday morning before the first truck comes in at 9 so I gotta be there at 8:30am, thanks.

Lol always a newb!

Yeah something i might look into as well! I kind of avoided it as i figured they can defect you with or without it, but in saying that its pointless to go so far and not at least try get it through haha

depends on what youve done.... ;)

and agreed, its absolute bullshit that there is no ultimate authority in nsw.

Does anyone know if they will be doing an emissions test.

depends on the paperwork.

is it a part, or full inspection?

theyay want to because of some of the mods youve been defected for, but if you say its all back to stock, they may not.

Bastards, called me today, said they overbooked for Thursday so now it has been re-booked for Tuesday, that means no Skyline over the weekend :'(, gahhh.

thats bullshit.

not your fault.

I would have rocked up and said I didnt get the message/someone else answered.

if your car fails, this weekend would have been a great time to fix the other problems.

So I just got back from the inspection and here's some feedback.

They cleared everything although I got a defect notice for blue slip because I need to get an Engineers Certificate for my Exhaust, Wheels and Intercooler, also my boot brake light wasn't working (the f**ker was working when I checked this morning), number plate obscured apparently by my rear view camera pfff, so now I'm on the hunt for a Engineers Certificate.

Theo Syriopoulos head of SYRIOPS Engineers delivered a talk alongside myself 3 months ago at Canterbury.

He does Engineering Certificates and assists to clear defects.

For starters, you'll need to get replacement tyres and a plumb-back, but you can call him on 0402651759 or 02-95336737 to get some expert advice.

He's stationed at 172 Belmore Rd North Riverwood

Called him today, he doesn't engineer what I need to be engineered.

Congratulations on the clearance... Did they actually use any tools in this inspection or is it just a quick look over?

You got another defect notice from passing your blue slip?

If they cleared your defects dude shouldnt you be fine?

What ever happened to that one modification law with no certificate we had? i.e. One air intake mod / one exhaust mod / wheels within legal parameters.

Yeah what f**king law, it's Straya mate no f**ken law here, they make up their laws how and when they please and if or if not they got laid the night before.

Back on topic, would a r33 cat bolt straight on to a r34 GTT, are they exactly the same, thanks.

The cats are slightly different length and also have an angled flange from memory! (Lol flange)

    • Alright. Exhaust has been looked at, and booked in 'soon'. I'm not 100% convinced it's going to be as good as possible but I'm going to go with it anyway. If I get a reasonable thing that works for 10 years I mean that's twice as long as I've lived with the current one. I have a more pressing issue. I have fixed my MPVI3 (by buying a new one). Excellently, one can wire in analog 0-5v inputs to the ECU itself. I had wideband already via Serial so I also wired it in via the direct input. The idea being I can use the standalone logging without a laptop and have Wideband data in it. The other wire I thought I'd use oil temp. This is where I've gone crazy. HPTuners requires you to implement a formula so you know how much volts = how much temp. This seems relatively simple to me. However I cannot find the scale for this anywhere on the internet, nor decipher how to figure it out without removing the sensor from the car. All I know is that voltage actually goes up as temperature goes down. I am using the actual gauge, so I can see what the temp is. The signal wire has been branched off into the MPVI3. EXAMPLE: 2.68v = 58C 2.7 = 57C 2.74v = 56C 2.8V = 54C 3.06V = 49C 3.18V = 47C 3.37V = 43C I think the gauge is 50-150C. It may be more. It may be less, because I can't find it for the love of f**k. It appears all the information about the gauges I have has been scoured from the internet, but the sender is VDO 320.021 I believe the resistance chart is this How the f**k do I convert this to a voltage? Once I have a voltage... I then have to perform this transform of said voltage to show it in the scanner: https://www.hptuners.com/help/VCM-Scanner/Content/vcm_scanner/defining_a_transform.htm @GTSBoy you're probably my only hope here TEST YOUR MIGHT
    • Here’s the updated and installed muse replica nismo ones … very happy with the outcome. Eventhough I painted my whole rear end due to my rich idle lol.
    • Hmm. I had a good look (w/o searching, because I'm not logging in) and couldn't see it either. I distinctly recall the thread, not many weeks ago. It must have been removed or perhaps put into the back section. If it was in Off Topic you should at least have been able to search it up. So if I'm not hallucinating, it is fairly decently removed.
    • I had my car model wrong on my Shannons insurance when i had my V36. didn't make a difference when i claimed a windscreen. Nightcrawler is a negative nancey 🤪
