M35 Ignition Question

Hey all,

Each morning since ive had the car when cranking cold, after the starter motor cranks 3 or 4 times the motor turns over and revs pick up to 1000 - 1100rpm, then drop to 100ish rpm and cough and splutter for a few seconds then kick back up to 1000rpm till she gets warm. Ive read some issues with starters but mine seems to be more fuel mixture prob. Any one had similar problems?

Sounds like the throttle body needs a clean, be very careful not to touch the throttle plate though.

Have you checked the plugs?

No, have not checked the plugs as yet. i hasn't been a major concern yet but thought id have a look and see if its a common or documented issue.

I need to take the car in and get a decent service done, have the whole thing looked over properly. Ill get the plugs sussed/changed then depending on their condition.
