GTR-AHA
Hey guys. this is my 1987 Nissan skyline R31 wagon I brought yesterday, it has a N/A RB30 with a FACTORY 5speed manual AND LSD. the car has 170xxx on the clock and is 100% bone stock. I have big plans for this car some of which include: r34 interior rb25/26 head conversion hydrolic rear breaks completely overhaul the motor, box and throw in a better diff and stonger rear axles lower 2.5-3 inches all round (coilovers most likely) bigger breaks full exhaust bbs wheels or something of that sort full cage strip some interor improve audio system tint improve all steering and suspension longer gear ratios shorter differential gears stronger clutch and the list goes on. oh and my favorite, the new plates, GTR-AHA I'm super happy with the car and I'll have more photos and updates really really soon :'))) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/442301-87-r31-wagon/ Share on other sites
GTR-AHA
here are some photos of the car. she'll soon be slammed, rolling on some nice rims and have some decent handling upgrades before i start making her go fast(er) Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/442301-87-r31-wagon/#findComment-7267011 Share on other sites
Ben C34
My tip is bolt head onto untouched bottom end. If it's running good it's not worth the hassle rebuilding it. And use a neo head to get a decent comp ratio. And.... plate make no sense...... Got a Pulsar
Saw this Wagon on Gumtree or Ebay or R31 Club??? Not sure which. SkyWagons are the Schnitzel !!! R34 interior sounds interesting. (I put a 34 steering wheel in mine) Rear suspension is different to the sedans / coupes (separate shocks and springs setup) so fitting Coilovers will require some mad Fabrications. I just chucked some low King Springs and new shocks in and some cheap second hand Rims. (many other small things done too like bushes etc...) It's an ongoing mission. Enjoy it. IT being the money pit. and yes... the number plate makes no sense. GTR-AHA
picking up my 87 skywagon this week, cant wait to get started on it. going to do an rb25 neo head covert, meaty cams port and pollish stronger rods, pistons and soon enough boost!!! going to get some of the stock alloys which came out on the s3 r31s as they look sexy as f*k and im going to a sleeper look, probably going nto lower it a inch though and im going for a 2.5 exaust with no cats, hotdog muffler and straight pipe at the rear. cant f**king wait!
