Big thanks again to Mike and the execs for today

No dramas on the way home? looked nastier than what it was i think.

Yeah, hose was up high and on the outlet of the engine, just after the thermostat, so the engine stayed full enough I think.

Looking at replacing all my hoses now, anyone know anything about silicon radiator hoses? are they stronger or just more flashy?

Thanks to Mike and all the team at SauQld a great morning was had. Great to have the extra time as well. Am going to upload a quick clip to YouTube of 88RDY hitting the rev limiter, you will see the outcome soon.

Awesome air this morning big shout out to Mike for as always making today happen. Was great would luv to run the full track next time!

Glad we could fly the skyline flag in the sea of Evo's ;)

Ants could defo smell your brakes and about 16 more sets out there that were on fire! Spoke to the guy with the yellow Evo on e85 and he said he was full outa brakes at one stage with his street pads in there. That Evo was fast......

Cheers

That is a fast 34 and the screamer was crazy loud!

Glad to hear it seems no damage done... You were really hooking through the dipper I had a massive smile on my face seeing and hearing you give it the beans through there ;)

From what I can gather the silicon hoses are stronger and less prone to failure than the normal style hoses.....

No worries, unfortunately unless we get 100 people they don't let you have the national circuit.

Mine were smoking when I came off, was a good 50 minutes.

Great day was had! Thanks to Mike etc. for organising it and everyone that came along. Was pretty happy for my first track event, Pinky didn't let me down :P Huge thanks to Martin for coming out with me because I was being a pansy before I actually got into it :P

so we will need the skyline, evos and vr4 clubs and anyone else that can make it,big ask,we have got a good group of skylines and evos at the moment, sometimes more isnt better, theres nothing wrong with the short tracks imoa, gives us slower cars a chance, lol.

    • Robertson was a Canadian inventor, and it absolutely reigns supreme here. 95% of our screws are Roberston. It's literally the only option you can buy off store shelves. What would it have lost out too? I believe it's also very popular in the US.  My reference to imperial was pointed to both NPT and BSP.
    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
