You can look on the united site and select united servo nearby where the cruise goes and you can also view what fuel they sell at the Bowser E85,p100 etc,

As for the half way meet point is this the twin Caltexs on F3 freeway?

Fark, that's worse then mine ( 170km from 42-45ltrs @+/-$1.24p/l ), and I'm on E85 pumping 22psi :(

LOL!! Tell me about it!!! hahah have contacted Toshi - maybe can get him to help me look at it and give me a quote...

I am up for this... From the Newcastle end.

meeting at Halfway point or is there a Meet up for the Newcastle people before hand?

Looks like livewire is trying to organise something, check out the Newcastle spotted thread, I hit him up about it today.

Which mean we leave there and head into 16km of the some of best road NSW has to offer :D

Yep now that is what I like to hear lol.

And thanks James, your name has been added.

As Jackson has mentioned I believe livewire has been organising a Newcastle Meet :)

Ok, so anyone from Newcastle/Central Coast/Hunter Valley that would like to meet up with myself and Global_warmer in Singleton before heading down the Putty Road, here's the plan...

Meetup 9-9:30 at Sundial on Ryan Avenue, Singleton

Leave around 9:45/10 (allowing 1.5 hours to Putty meetup)

I have attached a "dodgy looking' map lol. If you have gps, type in Ryan Avenue, Singleton 2330, otherwise i've highlighted directions from coming into town. Very easy to find. McDonalds is on the New England highway (changes name to Maitland Rd when coming into town) so you will run into it. There are two sets of traffic lights at the intersections outside Mcdonalds/Hungry Jacks/pizza hut etc, take a left at the second set of lights (york st) an follow it till the end, left again and then next right opposite the united servo and you'll see a giant sundial at the end of the street. We'll be waiting at the sundial :-)

Is it 177km there and back or each way, cause each way means I'm out, I can't carry that much fuel :( lol

170km per tank is about the best I have done, cause I love boost

There is United E85 is Cessnock which really isnt that far to travel if you are keen...

I run 28psi and dont have the fuel consumption issues you guys have? Well when i was street driving anyhow... Would get at least 350km to a tank including plenty of full throttle!

On track its shithouse but that is mostly full throttle :P

I'll just bring a few Jerries, should be plenty, it will work out to just over two tank fulls

What can I say, my 34 has a drinking problem lol :D

Just a suggestion for those running e85 who are concerned about fuel consumption... Rather than being turned off coming or not wanting to carry spare fuel, maybe come up the putty road with a full tank but head back via Cessnock to the F3?

    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
