So disappointed in Rosberg. I like the guy...feel when he chats to reporters he is doing so with a straight bat....vs his team mate that talks rubbish trying to promote the persona he wants to portray on the day.

More importantly....drivers make mistakes but guys like Rosberg, Alonso, Button, Vettel , Bottas all go wheel to wheel as tough racers without the chop.

Think about Bahrain last year. It was good racing as when Homo was off line and challenging Rosberg left him room only to be bashed into and forced off track by Homo. It takes away from the racing.

So i got straight away what Britney was trying to achieve at Spa last year. Poorly executed but unferstand the line needs to be drawn somewhere and after Hungary he tried (poorly) to make a statement.

So again today when Homo and "his sorry but its ok for me to drive other people off the road" start? Would have been great to see Britney comecaway with the win

What killed me as just like at Monza last year Rosberg threw it away. Something you dont see Rosberg generally doing when under pressure from other drivers...just Homo.

Like i said they all make mistakes...but Rosberg has made his second big mistake by throwing away his chance to win.

Now post race he has to say to Toto and Lauda that no more....just like Wanka, i mean Senna and Prost...next time Rosberg just needs to put the car on the line and take his chances by putting Louise to the sword. I reckon get young Max in there...he would give him a Valentino... " i look at him and say fark...what the fark are you doing..." and give him a haircut

I don't think it was a driver error. No other car ever got loose there - it struck me as really strange at the time. He wasn't wide or off-line or on a damp patch or anything. Nico said nothing like that has ever happened "Not in testing or racing, never. Nothing like that. I can't explain it"

It's a real shame because other than that bizzare incident, he totally outclassed Hamilton this weekend. Even after Hamilton again ran him off the road (apparently they made contact too) forcing him back to 4th, he was faster all race, caught him passed him, built a lead which was taken away by safety cars, built the lead again...

Hamilton is a complete douche of a driver - obviously not confident enough to fight fair with his team mate, he has to resort to dirty driving. You saw all through the field good clean respectful moves between drivers from different teams, leaving enough room for the other car. Not Hamilton. Lost even more respect for him - and I didn't think it was possible.

oh and do we still think RBR has possibly the best chassis on the grid? Mercedes were faster in the wet until their tyres went off, but as soon as the track started drying and actual car performance could show through, everyone was faster than RBR, including Torro Rosso, Force India.

I suspect Red Bull may have gambled on a wet setup hoping for a full wet race as their only chance of being in the mix - but that just highlights how far back they are from Mercedes chassis - if they can't even quite keep up in the wet with a dedicated wet setup, that Merc chassis is clearly superior.

lol why on earth would he give him the race? Chances are Lewis was going to win it anyway, probably at the next race. It makes absolutely zero sense for Mercedes to rig the result, alienating one of their drivers for no reason.

What's the earliest anyone has tied up the season mathematically?

I'm not talking sure thing either.

and to be fair to history, you would have to take a percentage of completed races per season as the figure to compare by as there would be disparity over uneven season race numbers.

hmm turns out this one isn't even close. 84%

schui back in 2002 did it in 65% of the season.

mansell in '92 with 69%

then back in the 60's and 70's there are a few with 7X%

Historically, this Merc period isn't as dominant as we're all thinking, when measured by their speed of clinching the WDC in the season

They ruined that track. All the fast corners gone, replaced with friggen go-kart sections. Worked in Red Bull's favour, as does altitude - everyone running max downforce setups so they're all as draggy as each other. And despite the long straights and DRS, it didn't seem to be a track where you can overtake anything other than a McLaren.

Track might be alright if you don't remember the old Mexico... The ultimate irony is renaming the modified last corner after Mansell, in honour of his balls to the wall move around the outside of Berger at the end of the 1990 GP. That kind of stuff of legend can never happen again with the ruined corner replaced with a mickey mouse go kart section, designed seemingly primarily for the podium and grandstands - coz that's more important than race tracks having great corners.

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
