Hi All,

I want to detail my engine bay and I was reading horror stories about coilpacks getting busted by water and stuff. I know to cover alternators with bags or foil and small things with foil but I have NO idea how to protect the coilpacks.

If anyone can shed some light on the best method that would be appreciated

Never been an issue for me (literally just did a R33 engine bay two days ago). Just make sure you use a pressure washer and not a hose as the pressure washer will use less water and give you more control over the water flow so you can avoid certain areas.

Engine bays are designed to be fairly waterproof you just have to be careful on some older cars where stuff begins to get weak and brittle.
