Gtr Gearbox Internal Modifications

Guys;

I'm dropping the box on my R32 GTR soon.

One highly reliable source has suggested that nothing needs to be modified, just replace standard parts that are out of spec.

Another equally reliable source has suggested drilling synchros to allow better oil release on take-up.

Can anyone comment or suggest alternatives?

Can you elaborate on the use your car is receiving? Are you after something to sustain a certain HP or constant hi rpm launches? Drags? Street?

Good point, that info probably would help a bit.

Car is street driven hard, 330 rwkw, no drags or constant really hard launches.
