Performance shops and wreckers in Victoria / Melbourne

Recommended Posts

i didn't think they did that type of stuff.

i also need to get, brake made up, bov mounted, do something with my power steering its a mess, gearboxmount.

how much did piping cost u. and did they mount the cooler and everything. i only thought they got parts for people.

Guest INASNT

i got my cooler piping as a kit so they just had to mount the cooler and fit the piping. I think they use truefit for all their pipiework.

They r a full workshop mate, ask leewah and he will tell u or call gerald up and ask him what they can do

Try Speed Technology in Mitcham (Steve 9873 5400).

hey, why couldn't have somebody told me that a few days ago when i was asking for a place in the east ! aggg... now i'm gonna have to ring up and see whether i can get mine done b4 the weekend.. and its getting late... grrrr

blind_elk: SLAP!!

i wouldn't reccomend Steve Newing he stuffed leewah's fuel setup totally did a crap job on it the pumps kept blowing fuses and he is refusing to pay to fix it.

if you just want general mechanical servicing etc also they can find parts sometimes try barron Automotive in Moorabbin off warrigal road call 9555 9596 talk to Dean or Andrew, honest and resonably priced. they are also just near a really good air con guy as well.

I guess with any place though, there is always going to be one guy who is never perfectly happy with whatever - and that word spreads around.

For every 50 cars that go into a place, the one that something ends up getting stuffed on is the one you hear about.

I take my car to

EAS Performance

Victory Str., Airport West.

Tel: 93302001

Very happy with their work and reasonable prices. They work on Skylines, 180's, 200's, GTiR's, fords, holdens, bikes, etc.

Just ask for Vic or George, tell em Alan sent you.

there is a new person on the scene MRD (Murphy Racing Developments) PERFORMANCE pm for there number ben the owner does piping etc for coolers intakes etc all the performance hsit and his work is good

When some f*ckers :Bang: smashed my passenger window and stole some things of mine I got a new one from:

RENEW auto importers

40 Bennet Street

Dandenong

Phone (03) 9706 7822

www.renewauto.com.au

for $160 which I thought was very reasonable (it would have been 150 if they had one in stock but they ordered it in from somewhere).

    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
