32 Gtr Wheel Speed Sensor Issue...

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me out with this, done a search through the forums but can really find much that applies to my situation.

So car is showing an anti-lock light on the dash (has a nismo cluster, pretty sure it's the abs light on the stock cluster). No 4wd light, and it definately has a bulb in there because it lights up when the car is on acc power. The anti lock light comes on as soon as I start the car and stays on, no flickering etc which I hear some people find.

Did the check on the 4wd ecu and it's showing 2 error codes which correspond to the front left and right wheel speed sensors. The 4wd gauge is working so is it simple enough to assume the front wheels are still getting power under load?

Has anyone had these codes come up before? How did you fix it? Seems to be a common issue but struggling to find anyone in Brisbane who is knowledgeable enough on the 4wd system to know what to look for. It is just a matter of replacing / cleaning the two sensors or will it be more sinister? Car seems to drive perfectly normal just that the light is shitting me.

Sorry for the big story just want to give as much info as possible. Car is on stock ecu too.

If it's both front sensors then it is just as likely to be faulty loom/plug somewhere rather than simultaneous failure of 2 sensors.

Have you got the R32 GTR workshop manual? There is troubleshooting guidance in there for this stuff.

Nah don't have the manual unfortunately, is it available online? I think first bet is to pull the sensors out and give them a real good clean, see if that helps. Are they just on the back of each wheel hub?

There should be numerous places where you can DL it online.

The sensors are just reluctor type thingos pointed at the trigger rings on the back/inside of the hubs, as you'd expect. Just look for the wiring loom. That's the only wiring there.
