R34 Gtt Turbo Bolt Onto R33 S2 Rb25det?

Hey Guys,

just need some advice as im looking at buying an R34 GTT turbo which will supposedly bolt right onto my R33 RB25det without having to change anything.

looking at buying an op6 Turbo but am unsure as to whether this is off an R34 and if it will bolt straight on?

Ive also been told to get the R34 GTT turbo high flowed.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes. It is almost exactly the same turbo. The internals of the OP6 housing are larger than the 21U housing on your std 25 turbo.

A turbo with an OP6 housing is not necessarily an R34 turbo though. The OP6 was also used on VG30 turbos. I suspect the easiest way to tell the difference would be that VGs probably have an alloy compressor and R34s would have a plastic compressor.

yes, and it's an awesome turbo considering the price tag. Although it doesn't run very well on the standard R33 ecu. I was having issues at 9 psi on the HG 21u highflow

so in other words if you're on the factory ecu stick to the factory r33 turbo. I'm sure the R34 turbo will run okay but it wont be perfect without a tune

yeah i am planning on getting a Nistune ecu as well.. can anyone recommended where to buy Nistune ecu or would you recommended Apexi Power FC and Boost controller ? thanx guys

      We're bringing Pizzas back!! Pizza Runs, to be specific... We had a practice Pizza Run a while ago, and everyone has been screaming for a proper one... So you've asked, and now we're delivering! Since your tastebuds are tingling, feast your eyes on the event details: Date: Saturday 27th July 2024 Meet Location: Parking Lot - 1 Parkview Dr, Sydney Olympic Park Meet Time: Meet at 5.30pm for a 6.00pm departure Destination: Talotta's Pizzeria, 1-3 Bridges St, Kurnell Map: https://tinyurl.com/saunsw-talottas  We'll meet at the carpark on the corner of Parkview Drive and Australia Avenue in Sydney Olympic Park. When we leave the parking lot, we'll head down Australia Ave, and turn right onto Homebush Bay Drive at the large roundabout near DFO. As soon as we turn onto Homebush Bay Drive, we will be turning left onto the M4 to drive through the new M4/M8 tunnel! Everyone loves a bit of RB action through a tunnel.... We'll exit the tunnel at the Gardener's Road exit, and turn onto Princes Highway, where we'll follow it onto Rocky Point Road and then onto Taren Point Road.       Agree! I still believe I have the quietest 400kW+ R33 in Australia.
