United Cinemas is proud to announce our charity event this Sunday, with our partnership with Reach Out World Wide.

Reach Out World Wide (ROWW) is a charity founded by the late Paul Walker that provide assistance around the globe when natural disasters strike.

To complement our charity event, we are proud to announce that Cody Walker will be in attendance this Sunday. Working on a day to day basis operationally at the foundation, and having only just recently assisted with the filming in Furious 7 – we could not be more proud to welcome him to Australia and our cinemas.

Part of our celebrations will include a unveiling ceremony of a tribute within the cinema to the late Paul Walker and his charity Reach Out WorldWide

This is a FREE event to attend.

Donations will be accepted on behalf of ROWW. We would appreciate your support for the great work they do.

United Cinemas look forward to welcoming our customers and fans alike to join us. We can’t wait to see you all there.

Cody will be there from about 2pm to 5pm. He will do the usual meet and great and photos. He will also be judging the Best of Show award. There is a tribute to Paul Walker in one of the cinemas that Cody will be seeing too.

P.S. SAU has organised a very impressive entrance for Cody. BIG SURPRISE! haha

Sunday will be awesome. Today was a very small turn out bit i think thats partly due to late notice of the event & the fact that Cody will be there tomorrow.
Few of us turned out today though.

    • Ha ha ha, I read that he had it based on brownie points so knew it wasn't going to be sold   I also am only shit stirring on buying, while they'd all be great cars, I don't need more, I actually sold one a few weeks ago. And immediately bought more tools...

    • Axle back, new thermostat and coolant bottle arrived from MX5 Mania, I'm still waiting for Super Cheap to get back to me with my order, once I get everything in my hands I'll take some leave and "play", starting with serving and fitting parts, then detail I honestly think this is the most fun part about getting a new old car
    • In roughly 6 to 9 months time, what mods will you have done, and how much can I buy the car for?
    • I haven't been able to try a coppermix twin but I tried a 997.2 Turbo 6MT the other day with a single plate organic clutch that had all the springs removed so it's "for race use" and a stronger pressure plate. Absolutely miserable to drive. I couldn't feel the pressure plate weight because the pedal has hydraulic assist from the power steering pump but the slip point felt like I had to flex my big toe to control it because it was so sensitive. The clutch also shuddered horribly at the slip point. My best guess looking at the previous owner documentation is they tried to resurface the dual mass flywheel due to supply chain issues + used a stupid clutch with no marcel springs or any of the usual tricks that trade burst strength for driveability. I ordered the coppermix twin. Once it gets here I'll try to figure out whether to shop this job out to a local mechanic I can trust or try to DIY it.
