  • 3 weeks later...

Hey Sinista32, I got the first half of my order this week & the 2nd half is on its way, which I have a tracking number for, so all should be fine with your order hopefully.

Its a shame that a company with a good reputation cant spend the time to communicate to its buyers so they can keep there good reputation.

Are you for serial?

I can only assume your new to this whole thing... a few weeks is nothing to wait for import parts.

The boys do an amazing job of servicing our niche. Imagine the sheer volume of calls and emails on a daily basis, its not reasonable to think they will actively track every aspect of every order, for each customer, every time they call/email.

Yes, I have had my own small business as well...

My experience has been nothing but exceptional service, timely communication, great prices and flexibility from Kudos.

EARTH TO XRATED

You are a typical keyboard warrior

Were you not taught to not ASS_ume anything

I wasnt expecting Kudos to track every aspect of my order (perhaps you are uneducated & cant read whats typed in a post)

All i wanted to know was Kudos still in business (hard to get money back when a business goes belly up)

FACTS:

My order was placed & payed for on 19th June (items were instock & would be shipped out within a few days, so i was told)

My 1st post asking about Kudos was on 9th July (its not a crime to be worried about money i have paid & goods not received)

I never bagged Kudos & i will BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.

If you had half a brain you could workout my order took 21 days to be shipped out from Kudos, thats clearly not a few days.

Hey Justin, perhaps you should lay off the porn & stop tugging yourself & then maybe you might grow a brain again.

FYI: I have dealt with automotive vendors from numerous countries (so i guess i must be new at this) & 95% of the time,

my orders have landed on my doorstep in less than 2weeks (now thats only 14 days, from overseas) not items instock in Australia.

Seeing how you think you know so much about me & are happy to bash me in writting,

if you are ever in South oz PM me If you want to catch up for a chat to see for yourself what i am really like.

Regards

Mark

Yes mate I am. and I'm still concerned. I received one PM 3 weeks ago that said he would contact me on the Monday. Still no contact.

I've had exceptional Service from Andrew and Ian at Kudos in the past. Could not fault it. Best in the business.

However my last purchase a new Genuine Nissan OEM PTU (Ignitor) which I waited very patiently for 6 or so weeks was faulty. In fact it doesn't work at all :(

At a cost of $560 delivered it's not something you usually let slide. I was certain the guys would remedy very quickly. To date no response.

A few hundred dollars and I wouldn't blink twice. Just put it down to bad luck.

I understand the guys were OS for a while in June and in addition their phone system had been on the blink. Stuff happens.

I'm patient, courteous and laid back. Until pushed hard.

But 5+ emails, 3 voice mails and 2 PMs without response.

All up I am just really disappointed after having been a great customer and very strong supporter of Kudos.

I keep hoping there is a good reason and continue to give the benefit of the doubt.

Yes its definitely the PTU. Put a 2nd hand one in my GTR fires up, new one doesn't, and put the old one back in and Vroom.

Sorry to hear this Sinista32, i was under the impression all was sorted out for you.

I too bought the same IGNITOR, i better hurry up & install it to see if its good or faulty.

Hope you got my PM.

Please keep us updated on your saga.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you.

    • Take the value it measured as, and pick the closest range available that is above the reading on the screen.   Also, no point just testing the coils. Read what has been said again. You need to test all your wiring, everything.
    • Does the scanner do all the CUs in the car, or only the ECU?
    • @666DAN sorry to bring you and old thread.     I've got my de+t done and it's all running great other than 1 small issue.    Car has remained auto with the na auto and tcm, I've used a stagea ecu with. NIstune board and everything is great other than my gear selection on the dash. It illuminates park, reverse, neutral, 3rd and 2nd when selected . But nothing when in  drive or what gear your in when you pop it into tiptronic. I'm sure there is maybe 1 wire in the ecu plug I need to move to rectify this. Do ya have any ideas?     Cheers man
    • Well I recently changed my rear axles and was thinking if I bumped anything, I have been driving the car for a while now though... But it has been raining today so everything is wet under the wheel arches. Brakes feel fine and can't hear any of the metal screamers, I had a squeak coming from one of the handbrake drums but that seems to have gone away a while ago. I was going down a hill when it lit up and I did feel the abs bite for a second and question why it did it?
    • Correct. Um. I dunno. I haven't cared enough about the way that the NA cars work to know for sure. But..... The 33/34 turbo manual cars have an electronic speed sensor in the gearbox that outputs a +/- (ie, sawtooth AC) voltage signal. That is connected to the speedo. The speedo then outputs a 0-5v square wave (ie, PWM) signal that the ECU (and any other CU on the bus) sees. The speed sensor is NOT directly connected to the ECU. So here's the problem. Your new ECU expects to see the PWM signal, but must somehow be getting a direct signal from the diff speed sensor. Which would suggest that the wiring of the NA car is not the same as the turbo cars. I think you will need to spend some time with (hopefully the wiring diagram for the car) and a multimeter to see what is connected to what. Then, presuming I am correct**, you would then want to separate the ECU speed signal input from the rest of the car's wiring, and probably either buy a speed signal converter, or build one using an arduino (or similar). That would take in the speed sensor signal and output a scaled (and suitably rearranged) signal for the ECU. ** We shouldn't presume that I am correct here, because there might be something else crazy going on. I don't think you could convert the speedo to be fed from the gearbox sensor, because the pulse rate from that sensor is probably different to the diff sensor and then the speedo would read wrongly. And this also wouldn't fix the ECU's problem either, because the ECU doesn't want to see the gearbox signal direct either (assuming that they are all on the same wiring, for some odd NA related reason, see above caveat!) Does this help? Probably not. Can you make it work? Almost certainly. With the above work. You should buy a handheld oscilloscope from Aliexpress so that you can view these signals directly. Connect up the probes and drive the car. Show photos of the screen when drving at known speeds and connected to different places, and we'll see what we can learn about it.
