Sorry long thread title. Only owned this car a few weeks and still figuring out this nav unit.

Can someone confirm if the 370gt has the reverse beeping proximity thingy ? I know the g37 has it. Also I saw the auto folding rear view mirrors on some of the 370gt coupes I test drove. Is this an option ? Does anyone know if these are on the 370gt sedans aswell ? I can't seem to find either of these features on my sedan.

Another question, how do I look through the front camera and the camera on the driver side rear view mirror ? I can only see through the one on the passengers side by pressing the button on the top right of my ked pad cluster.

FYI its a 2008 sedan type S.

Hopefully those in the know can help out.

2008 sedan should be 350GT.

There is only one camera on the passenger side mirror, no front camera.

Folding mirrors are not auto, you need to press the button on the driver side door panel where the window switches are. Unless those that has the Tech pack auto folds....

You can look at your rear bumper....are there circle dots around the bumper? Should be 4-6 of them.....else you don't have any.

No the v36 sedan 350gt was 2006-2008 5speed. Sedan 370gt 2008 onwards in 7speed.

I don't see any dots on my rear bumper. Guess I don't have that option then.

Here is my front camera. Mounted dead centre in front of the grille. No idea how to access it, would be handy as I have to park super close to missus car on driveway sometimes.

370GT sedan was introduced in December 2008 as 2009 model year, so you are both correct....

Ah, the blind junction camera.... My 370gt sedan also has one. Turned on by a button next to my seat heaters..

My mirrors also fold on locking, controlled by a button under the steering column.

Car beeps in reverse, as all Japan domestic cars do, but no sensors. However there is the camera with the prediction lines that move with the steering...

This is good to hear. Although I don't know if I have heated seats or where the button would normally be for them lol. Can you tell me where the button is please ?

I will check under my steering column for any switches but I don't recall ever seeing anything under there.

This wont really help park up close as this is a split view intersection camera which helps when you are not able to clearly see both sides of traffic before entering an intersection. Wifes car has the same camera and yes its located just under gear shifter, it was a aftermarket dealer option not a factory one as factory ones are built into the front bumper bar. Mirrors will fold on locking the car if you got the extra security package which includes a small red light on the right side of the start/stop engine switch, a small button next to vdc/afs buttons which is to turn on/off mirror tilting while reversing and also small ultra sonic sensors somewhere on the corners of the front windows. If you have these features your mirrors should be folding in when u lock the car :)

No tilting on reversing for me, will need to look for that button... I loved that feature on my Stages.. Got the rest as described with my remote starter alarm security package.

Ok this whole time I was thinking there was a camera in each headlight looking out at 45deg angle. I even had someone look at the screen whilst I looked at the headlight and I was in full view lol. Man I feel like a lemon now. Its the little picture on the button that threw me off. It's exactly where nickcorr described but the button shows the field of view coming from the headlights. So naturally I just assumed there were cameras in there ! :rofl2:

This camera must have a serious fish eye lens !

Hi there, I have a 370GT SP sedan, April 09 model that has folding mirrors with a button on the door cluster, the seat heaters are on the cluster in the center console between the seats with a snow button in the middle which effectively starts the auto trans in 2nd to avoid spin. As far as cameras go it only has rear and side no front one as you mentioned. Hope this helps, and I have to say these cars are amazing tech for the price, love mine :)

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
