Hi guys, my name is Levi, ive had many cars over the years , many sr20's, v8s,supercharged and turbos with decent power, I recently sold my Evo 7 and made me realise i really want to go on the hunt for more power again, I figured a 33 platform would be a perfect base as they are relatively cheap, and a good base, originally i was planning to just throw on a bigger turbo, ecu etc, But a full rb25/30 setup came up for sale and i jumped at it. Car will be a weekender which i can take to the track every now and then and thrash around, Keeping the outside pretty standard as i think the series 2 looks pretty good for a boat.

Owner:Levi

Car: Silver R33 gtst series 2 w/ sunroof

Motor: Currently standard 25det with exhaust and fmic

Rb25/30 setup consists of: 25top end, series 2 rb30 A6 bottom end, HKS drop in cams- 256/264, arp head studs, bearings etc, GT3076 hi mounted with tial 38mm external gate and screamer pipe, Freddy manifold with 300zx 100mm TB, top feed fuel rail with xr6t injectors apparently . All powered by a Haltech platinum pro with rev limiter set at 6500 on 14psi it made 280kws on pump in the drift car i bought it out of.

Plans for the motor: Brand new gaskets throughout, clean absolutely everything, polish manifold, wrinkle black the manifold, turbo beanie etc, just make everything look neat and tidy, retune, i havent decided if i want e85 or keep it pump as i want to still be able to drive the thing and E85 is a bit of a headache.Car is ridiculously responsive which is perfect for a streeter so we will see how it all goes, motor and box should be in my car within the next couple of weeks!

Box: rb25 box with ORC twin plate clutch.

Suspension, old HKS coilovers, factory arms etc lol.

My old motor and box with 130xxxkms on it still running standard boost and mint gearbox with exedy cushion button clutch is also up for sale , and available within the next week or so!, I look forward to speaking with you all soon, Thanks for reading!

    • Why are you so adamant on going M12? Why not follow Brad (GTSBoy) suggestion. You're talking moving from a 1/8" size, to a 1/2" effectively. 4 times bigger. Why skip the commonly available sizes in between? The bigger you go, the more likely you are to strip the threads out at a later date, as guaranteed, someone will put a huge spanner on the M12 and really tighten it up, and you're only in thin wall, so not a lot of threads to engage!
    • Hi. Yeah thanks. Car is already at tuners and it staying there to resolve "many" issues they do not like. So it is in a good hands. Getting a good tune on that Nistune ECU too so the car would be good. Just needs a little tune up and love.
    • Probably gonna remove manifold and turbo. I’m not sure if I can get M12 x 1.5 air tight. Could use high temp Loctite 246 or something similar, but I don’t know. Maybe it’s just best to remove everything again and weld an 1/8NPT on there instead.
    • Yeah, saw the ratios, not impressed. Would like the punch I have in the first gears now. With those ratios it won't be the same.  Also want the h pattern gearing, or at least a quiet gear set that don't need to come apart for service each year. Looks like the only "reasonable" way Is a 8hp70 transmission, but where is the fun in that🤷‍♂️
    • Hey mate, really appreciate the help. Have been looking pretty extensively myself and was certain they were retro fitted, but then ended up finding a 4 door with what looks like the same side skirts or at least the closest I’ve seen.
