Please Help With Splitfire Coils

I received my swap a couple months ago and when I started to tear the motor down, I looked through the coils and came across something odd. It almost look like the guys of one of the coils spewed out the back. Could you all please look at this picture and tell me what happened and if the coil is still usable. Any help would be awesome.

auto electricians can test coils for both high and low voltage, impedance etc.

Generally coils have oil or other such stuff sealed inside [not sure for splitfires, never cut one up, try the internet maybe], once this leaks out they will only work till they get hot then they fail until they cool down again.
