Is it ironic that my daily is a 96 C200 Benz with now 242kms and is 100% faultless?*

Only thing currently wrong is the battery in the remote locking died last night but I have two keys...

*Was owned by a MB mech for 12? years as the wife's car before I bought it...

Rough break with the Audi. I've looked at German cars longingly for years, but I think if I bought one it'd have to be an old one (mid '90s or earlier) so every time something broke I could say to myself "it's 20 years old, something was bound to fail..."

The euros are tempting, but out of factory warranty they are a bit of a gamble. You can get an extended factory warranty on most if the original hasn't lapsed and the car hasn't done too many ks. I faced a similar scenario last year but piked on the euro (S5) I was looking at and went for the Lexus (ISF). No issues to date.

things are bound to break once I start to wind some power into it anyway.

went for a cruise around sydney with these today, that skyline is surprisingly quick - and i would say the S4 will take the c63 once tuned

    • Haha no I'll do that one tomorrow. I've been ignoring it. It's the 5.0 one I'm taking about. (There is a little X to hide the 4.7 one if you want)
    • So I'm going to have to keep ignoring the 4.7 update, or whatever version it is? Poop. I was hoping you'd put me out of my misery.
    • We have a huge update coming in the next few months, version 5 of Invision will be released. I'm holding off any changes until after this change as I'm not sure what features will be removed or introduced.
    • Yeah, plenty of air flow, there is a dedicated path that feeds the air in to the OEM intake tube behind the bumper As for a "tangible effect", maybe, but getting the pod/intake air out of the hot engine bay is worth it psychologically to me, even if it gives no performance difference, so the tangible effect in my Lizard brain saysss yessss  In the end, to me a tangible effect isn't always about performance, sometimes it a sound or a look, or even a...... feeling  Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga
    • yeah first and reverse is where you will find clutch release issues (whether hydraulic or mechanical) because the difference in revs required is the highest there; particularly changing down from 2nd to 1st when still moving. To be clearer though, it is possible that the clutch release bearing is the wrong height. This is less likely than a hydraulic issue but it is not unheard of when you are mixing and matching
