IVG_Auto
Hey guys, got a question. Where are your stock r32 gtst temp gauges are sitting? Recently bought myself a 92 Skyline r32 gtst and its bothering me that temp sitting a bit above the middle, its sitting stable but not sure if its normal to be there or if my engine is running hotter than should be all the time or if the gauge is faulty.Any input would be appreciated. niZmO_Man
Probably the gauge. It's meant to be normalised, meaning it'll sit in the middle for a range of temps (I can't remember what, but there's a write up on how to remove the normalisation so you can watch the gauge move with temperature). Dose Pipe Sutututu
too much effort, just install a proper temperature gauge and get accurate readings not some spring loaded gauge reading lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/461245-temperature/#findComment-7643113 Share on other sites
IVG_Auto
Thanks lads, how hard is it to get the aftermarket temp gauge hooked up? Or is it just easier to take to a work shop to get that done? Anyone knows how much gauge install would be roughly if it was done in a shop? Dose Pipe Sutututu
I mount my gauges just ontop of the steering column, have an AFR gauge, Boost gauge, water/oil temp there and no problems from the cops at all. scotty nm35
Check out the informeter units and similar, small color display with all ecu data able to be read, plus external oil pressure, oil temp, boost and Wo2. Mine has been working great for years. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/461245-temperature/#findComment-7643443 Share on other sites
IVG_Auto
Thanks for the input guys. Ive always wanted to mount some analog gauges on the beam that goes from the dash to the roof. You recon that's a go or better not? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/461245-temperature/#findComment-7643455 Share on other sites

Dose Pipe Sutututu
I personally prefer running something like a dash 2 or similar all sensors into ECU for engine protection and all displays to 1x dash...
